Buxton is being considered day-to-day due to a right hip impingement, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

It initially look as though Buxton was set to receive a scheduled night off Monday, but skipper Derek Shelton stated after the game that the star center fielder was sent for an MRI, which showed a right hip issue. This appears to be a minor injury for Buxton, who will likely be re-evaluated Tuesday to determine his status for the second game of the series.

Suzuki went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI in Monday's 3-2 win over the Padres.

Suzuki provided a sac-fly RBI in the fifth inning before really delivering in the bottom of the ninth with a long walkoff, two-out single against star San Diego reliever Mason Miller. The winning hit reached the Wrigley Field wall and was almost snagged by a leaping Jase Bowen in left. Suzuki is now riding a four-game hitting streak, and he's batting .317 over his last 10 contests with two home runs and 11 RBI.

Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run, two walks and an additional RBI in Monday's 11-7 win over the Phillies.

Rodriguez piled up a season-high RBI in his eighth multi-hit game of the season. The 25-year-old backstop has soundly outproduced Henry Davis as Pittsburgh's top catcher, and his stay atop the depth chart was solidified when the Pirates traded away Joey Bart earlier in June. Since being recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis, Rodriguez is slashing .271/.404/.482 with four big flies, six doubles, 15 RBI and two stolen bases over 105 plate appearances.

Astros manager Joe Espada said after Monday's 5-4 loss to the Twins that Pena has been diagnosed with a mild left calf strain and will be placed on the 10-day injured list, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Pena was held out of the starting lineup Monday after experiencing left leg discomfort, and Espada revealed after the game that further testing revealed a calf strain. Espada noted that he's hopeful Pena will be in line for a minimum-length stint on the shelf, which would put the shortstop in line to return July 10 against the Rangers. Look for Nick Allen and Brice Matthews to see most of the reps at shortstop in Pena's absence.

Marsh went 2-for-5 with a pair of solo home runs in Monday's 11-7 loss to Pirates.

It was Marsh's fourth career multi-homer game and his second of the season. The 28-year-old outfielder has gone deep five times in his past eight games as well. Making a strong case for his first career All-Star selection, Marsh is batting a torrid .322 with 14 long balls, 15 doubles, 44 RBI and eight stolen bases over 295 at-bats.

Myers (shoulder) was sent to the hospital for further evaluation after he was carted off the field in the fourth inning of Monday's game against the Brewers, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports. He went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI prior to departing the contest.

Myers' left shoulder absorbed the brunt of a collision with a fence while making a spectacular catch in center field. Cincinnati manager Terry Francona noted after the game that Myers was in a significant amount of pain, so the team sent him to the hospital to get checked out. Francona added that initial X-rays on Myers returned negative, but the outfielder is expected to undergo further testing. The club should have an update on Myers' status Tuesday, but even if he avoided a major injury, he seems likely to require a stint on the injured list.

Ashcraft (8-3) earned the win Monday against the Phillies, allowing five runs on five hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out eight.

Ashcraft was hit pretty hard, serving up a season-high three home runs, but he lasted long enough to turn in his third consecutive start with at least six innings. The 26-year-old right-hander has been mostly dependable in 2026 in spite of Monday's hiccup, giving up two runs or fewer in 13 of his 17 outings while working at least five frames in all but one. Ashcraft will take a 3.33 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 115:23 K:BB over 102.2 innings into his next scheduled appearance against an upstart Nationals lineup.

Nola (3-5) took the loss Monday against the Pirates, allowing eight runs (seven earned) on eight hits and two walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

Nola came away with three scoreless innings to begin his outing, but he fell apart while giving up two runs in the fourth frame and six more in the fifth. The 33-year-old right-hander has struggled to keep runs off the board all year long, surrendering at least three earned runs in 11 of his 17 starts now. Nola's 6.04 ERA and 1.49 WHIP through 85 innings are career-worst figures, and he'll remain difficult to trust in fantasy leagues this weekend despite facing a soft matchup against the lowly Royals.

Weathers (3-6) took the loss Monday against the Tigers, allowing five runs (two earned) on seven hits and one walk in 1.2 innings. He struck out three.

Monday was a mess from the get-go for Weathers, who couldn't even complete two frames amid his shortest outing of the year. Three earned runs were kept off the 26-year-old southpaw's ledger due to a throwing error by Jose Caballero in the second inning, but the hurler was pulled at 55 pitches after allowing three consecutive baserunners. Weathers will be aiming to put Monday's start in the rear-view mirror over the weekend against the Twins, holding a 4.08 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 98:26 K:BB over 88.1 innings.

De Los Santos was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Monday's 7-3 loss to the Tigers. He allowed two unearned runs on two hits across two innings of relief.

De Los Santos was brought in with two outs in the top of the second inning Monday and managed to escape a jam, but he gave up two runs in the top of the fourth following a costly error by Cody Bellinger. The Yankees will presumably bring up a fresh bullpen arm ahead of Tuesday's contest after using six relievers Monday.
