Connor Seabold RP | DET
Tigers' Connor Seabold: Records first win Thursday
Seabold (1-0) allowed a solo home run across 1.1 innings but managed to secure the win Thursday against the Royals. He struck out two.
The game finished 10-9 in favor of Detroit, so Seabold wasn't the only pitcher to give up some hard-hit balls, but he did a good job of limiting the damage to just one run to secure his first 2026 win. The righty has been effective this year with a 2.08 ERA and nine strikeouts across 8.2 innings. He's mostly worked in middle relief, though Seabold could earn a higher-leverage role if he continues to pitch well out of the bullpen.

Wyatt Langford OF | TEX
Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Returns to field
Langford started in center field and went 1-for-5 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's 9-6 win over the Athletics.
Langford played the field Thursday for the first time in three games since returning from a quad issue, and his activity on the basepaths is an encouraging sign that the injury is behind him. It was the second steal of the season for Langford, who swiped 22 bags (caught six times) in 2025.

Juan Valera SP | BOS
Red Sox's Juan Valera: Exits early with elbow issue
Valera exited his start Thursday against High-A Bowling Green in the second inning with right elbow inflammation, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Valera walked and struck out a batter in a scoreless first inning before he was forced to exit the game. The 19-year-old, who is one of Boston's top prospects, is without an official timeline for his return, but it wouldn't be surprising if he misses some time given the nature of the injury.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Tigers' Gleyber Torres: Reaches three times in win
Torres went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 10-9 win over the Royals.
Batting leadoff for just the second time this year, Torres provided a spark for the Tigers. The infielder is 5-for-8 across his last two games, which has raised his batting average from .200 all the way up to .250. That's in line with the .256 average Torres recorded during the 2025 regular season, and the veteran should continue to serve as a reliable table setter that is capable of scoring runs in bunches.

Foster Griffin SP | WAS
Nationals' Foster Griffin: Tagged for four in no-decision
Griffin took a no-decision Thursday against the Pirates, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out seven in 5.1 innings.
It was smooth sailing for Griffin through four innings, but he ran into some trouble in the fifth after being handed a 4-0 lead. The 30-year-old allowed four runs of his own in the bottom of the frame, the biggest swing being a three-run home run from Marcell Ozuna. That blast snapped a streak of three straight starts in which the lefty had allowed two runs or fewer. On the bright side, Griffin has 19 strikeouts through 20.2 innings to begin the season, showing a little more dominance than anticipated. His next scheduled start will come against Atlanta, fourth in MLB with 24 home runs, early next week.

Matt Vierling RF | DET
Tigers' Matt Vierling: Tallies first stolen base Thursday
Vierling went 2-for-3 with a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored in Thursday's 10-9 win over the Royals.
The 29-year-old got the start in center field Thursday with Javier Baez playing shortstop and rookie Kevin McGonigle sliding over to third base. Vierling responded by delivering his first stolen base and first multi-hit effort of the year. He is seeing inconsistent playing time at the moment in his utility role, which limits his fantasy upside for the time being, but Vierling can still produce on a per-game basis.

Braxton Ashcraft P | PIT
Pirates' Braxton Ashcraft: Surrenders five in no-decision
Ashcraft settled for a no-decision Thursday against the Nationals, allowing five runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out seven in 5.2 innings.
Ashcraft's streak of allowing two or fewer earned runs in a start this season extended to four, however, the five total runs he gave up Thursday are a career worst. The 26-year-old continues to strike batters out at a high rate, with his seven punchouts versus Washington bringing his total up to 27 against just seven walks through 22.2 innings this year. The right-hander is lined up to wrestle with the Rangers, which are tied for fifth in MLB with 21 home runs, in his next start.

Riley Greene CF | DET
Tigers' Riley Greene: Collects three hits in win
Greene went 3-for-4 with a walk, two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 10-9 win over the Royals.
Greene was batting just .211 through the first 10 games of the season, but he's starting to get going with a .313 average across his last nine contests. The three-hit effort was also the first of the year for the talented outfielder. Greene was an All-Star starter during a breakout 2025 campaign in which he posted 36 home runs and 111 RBI during the regular season, and he appears to have gotten back on that track this year after a slow start.

Dillon Dingler C | DET
Tigers' Dillon Dingler: Blasts off in win
Dingler went 2-for-5 with a double and a two-run home run in Thursday's 10-9 win over the Royals.
Dingler connected on his fourth home run of the season in the fifth inning as he continued his strong start to the year. The Detroit catcher is slashing .283/.367/.566 with 14 RBI through 16 games. Dingler's .933 OPS would easily be a new career best and is nearly 200 points higher than the .752 OPS he posted in the regular season last year. The 27-year-old is building on his strong 2025 campaign and has established himself as a reliable fantasy option behind the plate.

Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Pirates' Marcell Ozuna: Slaps three-run homer in loss
Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a walk and a three-run home run during Thursday's 8-7 loss to the Nationals.
Ozuna has been mired in a big slump to start the season, but he seems to be shaking that off and heating up as of late. The 35-year-old crushed his first home run of the season Thursday, a three-run homer in the fifth that allowed the Pirates to match a four-run inning by the Nationals with one of their own. After having just two hits in the first 10 games, the 14-year veteran has five hits as part of a four-game hit streak.
