Vargas (thigh) entered Saturday's game as a pinch hitter, went 0-for-1, and finished as the designated hitter in a 6-1 loss to Washington.

Vargas, who was removed from Thursday's game with a thigh issue, has come off the bench in the next two contests. He was able to play defense Friday before getting a plate appearance Saturday, indicating he has no limitations and may simply be slipping back into a bench role. The recent activation of Pavin Smith from the injured list and the call-up of prospect LuJames Groover, who started at first base Friday and Saturday, appears to be impacting Vargas' playing time.

Madden tossed 2.2 scoreless innings of relief in Saturday's 4-0 loss to the Mariners. He allowed four hits and struck out three.

The right-hander was able to effectively scatter the four hits and give the Tigers some length after starter Keider Montero allowed four runs in his five innings. Madden began the season in a bulk-relief role and covered 11 total innings in his first two appearances of the year. He's since shifted to more of a traditional long-relief role, which he filled Saturday. No matter how Madden has been deployed, he's been effective with a 2.60 ERA and 9.9 K/9 across 17.1 innings so far, though his fantasy value is capped by his usage.

Rolison (5-1) pitched a scoreless inning of relief to earn the win in Saturday's 3-2 extra-inning victory over the Giants. He walked a batter and struck out two.

Rolison pitched a clean top of the 10th inning, then secured the win when the Cubs plated a run in the bottom half to complete their comeback. After struggling to a 7.02 ERA and 1.77 WHIP across 42.1 innings last season during his MLB debut with the Rockies, the lefty has been much better in 2026 with a 2.49 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 21.2 innings. A move away from Coors Field surely helped, but Rolison has also dialed his fastball up to 94.5 mph on average after sitting at 92.9 mph in 2025. His K/9 has climbed accordingly, from 5.3 to 8.7.

Gasser is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Athletics in Las Vegas.

Gasser will draw a second straight turn through the rotation after he came through with a strong start Wednesday against the Giants following his call-up from Triple-A Nashville. The left-hander was handed a loss but kept the Brewers competitive, striking out five batters and yielding just one run on five hits and one walk across five innings. Though Gasser will get another chance Tuesday to solidify his spot in the rotation, he won't make for the most appealing streaming option at Las Vegas Ballpark, the home stadium of the Athletics' Triple-A affiliate. Even relative to other parks in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League, Las Vegas Ballpark has historically stood out as one of the more favorable offensive environments on the circuit.

Senga (spine) struck out five and allowed three earned runs on six hits and two walks across five innings in a rehab start Wednesday with Triple-A Syracuse.

Though Senga was able to build up to 91 pitches (54 strikes) during the third start of his rehab assignment, his control once again left something to be desired. In addition to issuing the two free passes, Senga hit two batters and threw two wild pitches. Overall, Senga has turned in a 5.25 ERA and 1.58 WHIP over 12 innings between his two starts with Syracuse and one with Single-A St. Lucie, so he'll likely need to show some better results during his rehab assignment before the Mets consider activating him from 15-day injured list and adding him to the big-league rotation. Per MLB.com, Senga is expected to make his next rehab start Tuesday with Double-A Binghamton.

Manaea is expected to work in bulk relief behind opener Huascar Brazoban in Sunday's game against the Padres, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.

Though he's continuing to pitch out of the bullpen, Manaea will be making his second straight turn as the fifth member of the New York rotation after recently replacing David Peterson in that role. While working behind opener Austin Warren on Monday, Manaea covered a season-high five innings and struck out four batters while limiting Seattle to one earned run on one hit and one walk. The veteran southpaw has looked sharp over his last five appearances, compiling a 2.70 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB over 16.2 innings.

Brazoban will serve as the Mets' opening pitcher for Sunday's game against the Padres, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.

Brazoban will draw his sixth start of the season, but just like the previous five occasions, he's not expected to work more than an inning or two before exiting the contest. Sean Manaea is set to take over and cover multiple frames in bulk relief.

Sandlin is expected to work as a bulk reliever in Sunday's game in Philadelphia while Tyler Gilbert serves as the White Sox's opening pitcher, Brooke Fletcher of Chicago Sports Network reports.

Since the Philadelphia lineup typically features three high-caliber left-handed hitters in Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper and Brandon Marsh, the White Sox will go with a lefty as their opener for the second straight day. Gilbert will likely cover the first inning or two before Sandlin takes over for what will be his first appearance out of the bullpen. After being called up from Triple-A Charlotte on May 26, Sandlin got the start in his first two big-league games and went 1-1 with an 8.10 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 8:4 K:BB across 10 innings.

Gilbert will serve as the White Sox's opening pitcher for Sunday's game in Philadelphia, Brooke Fletcher of Chicago Sports Network reports.

In an effort to counter a Philadelphia offense with three key lefty hitters in Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper and Brandon Marsh, the White Sox will go with a left-handed opener for the second straight day. Gilbert is likely to work the first inning or two before giving way to right-hander David Sandlin, who is set to work in bulk relief after getting the start in his first two MLB appearances.

Moore has been getting starts at third base and second base as well as in left field with Triple-A Salt Lake.

Moore played exclusively at second base over 53 games during his rookie campaign with the Angels in 2025, but he's broadening his defensive portfolio this season. The 23-year-old has yet to get a call-up to the big leagues during the current campaign, but that opportunity may be coming, as he's posted a .933 OPS with four homers, 32 RBI and six stolen bases along with a 40:44 BB:K over 41 games with Salt Lake. The Angels have been giving Nick Madrigal and Donovan Walton time at third base while Yoan Moncada (knee) has been on the shelf, and Wade Meckler has been the primary left fielder since his promotion. If any of those players go into an extended slump, or if the team simply decides it wants to give another player a look amidst another losing season, Moore could be called up for immediate regular playing time.
