Cox (oblique) was able to do some baserunning Sunday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Cox has been on the injured list since July 8 due to a left oblique strain, but his ability to run the bases suggests that a rehab assignment could soon be on the horizon. The rookie outfielder had produced a .269/.269/.500 batting line with one home run, four stolen bases, three RBI and five runs over 29 plate appearances with the Giants prior to landing on the shelf.

Springs was removed in the second inning of Sunday's 11-8 loss to the Twins due to right hip discomfort, MLB.com reports.

Springs dropped to 3-11 on the season and was charged with five runs allowed (four earned) on four hits and one walk over 1.1 innings in his start before exiting the contest. The Athletics will likely evaluate Springs further over the next day or two before deciding if he's available to make his next turn through the rotation, which would tentatively fall Friday versus the Tigers in Sacramento. Luis Morales tossed 4.2 innings of long relief Sunday and would be a logical choice to enter the rotation if Springs needs to miss a start.

Sheehan did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Mets, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings.

Sheehan stumbled out of the gate, allowing three straight hits before recording his first out, which resulted in the Mets plating their lone run against him. The right-hander responded impressively, holding New York hitless over the next 18 batters he faced. Sheehan exited in line for the win, but the Dodgers' bullpen quickly surrendered the lead en route to an 8-3 loss. He has now failed to complete six innings in each of his last eight starts while posting a 5.71 ERA during that stretch. His next outing is scheduled for Saturday at home against the Red Sox.

Santana (hamstring) went 3-for-6 with a double, two steals and two runs Saturday after being reinstated from High-A Bowling Green's 7-day injured list.

Santana was on the shelf for just over seven weeks while recovering from a hamstring strain. The switch-hitting shortstop has produced at a high level when available for Bowling Green this season, slashing .313/.381/.400 with three home runs and 23 stolen bases in 47 games.

Peralta did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out three over four innings.

Peralta ran into trouble in the third inning, when a walk and two doubles allowed Los Angeles to plate two runs, before he surrendered another run in the fourth. Sunday marked an improvement from his first start of the second half -- when he was tagged for seven runs by the Brewers -- but the veteran right-hander has still completed five innings only once over his last five outings. Peralta has struggled since joining New York, posting a 4.99 ERA and 1.48 WHIP across 22 starts. With the trade deadline approaching, rumors suggest Sunday's outing may have been his final start in a Mets uniform.

Single-A San Jose reinstated Cayama (back) from the 7-day injured list Friday.

Cayama has yet to make an appearance for San Jose since being activated, but he's been cleared to return to action in the California League after making four rehab appearances in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League over the past two weeks. Between his stops in the ACL and at San Jose this season, Cayama has generated a 4.40 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 50:9 K:BB across 43 innings.

The Pirates traded Urquidy traded to the White Sox in return for minor-league right-handed pitcher Felix Doroteo on Sunday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Urquidy was designated for assignment by Pittsburgh on Friday, and he has now quickly found a new home with the White Sox. The 31-year-old posted an inflated 8.53 ERA and 2.68 WHIP with six strikeouts over 6.1 innings in five appearances with the Pirates this season. Urquidy has had more success at the Triple-A level, registering a 3.53 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 77 punchouts over 18 starts with Triple-A Indianapolis. It's unclear if Urquidy will join Chicago's major-league roster or if he'll report to Triple-A Charlotte, but he is a member of the team's 40-man roster regardless.

Atlanta will promote Southisene from High-A Rome to Double-A Columbus on Monday, Geoff Pontes of Baseball America reports.

Southisene will take the next step in his professional career, joining Columbus after slashing .255/.379/.428 with four home runs and nine stolen bases in 38 contests with Rome. The 19-year-old is regarded as a plus defender at shortstop and should have a good chance at sticking at the position once he eventually reaches the majors.

Salina (elbow) made his debut in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on May 8 and has allowed five earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four batters over 2.1 innings in three appearances on the season.

Salina didn't make his professional debut in 2025 after undergoing Tommy John surgery in the spring before being selected in the fourth round of the First-Year Player Draft later that summer. Per Daniel Barrand of ProspectsLive.com, Salina sported a fastball that sat around 96-to-97 mph during his first outing in the ACL and peaked at 99 mph. However, Salina experienced shoulder fatigue following his second appearance May 15, which kept him out for two months before he returned to action with a one-inning outing in the ACL on Thursday, per MadFriars.com.

Burleson went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 5-3 extra-inning loss to the Reds.

Burleson collected his sixth multi-hit effort in the last nine games with this performance. He's also driven in a run in consecutive contests. Burleson's power has dried up a bit -- he has gone 14 games without a home run, logging five doubles and five RBI in that span. He's hitting .289 with an .819 OPS, 15 home runs, 71 RBI, 56 runs scored, 26 doubles, one triple and three stolen bases over 104 contests this season, so fantasy managers will have to satisfied with consistency while waiting for his over-the-fence swing to return.
