Jensen is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

With southpaw Noah Schultz on the bump for Chicago, the Royals will stock up on some extra right-handed bats. Jensen will hit the bench along with fellow left-handed hitters Michael Massey, Kyle Isbel and Jac Caglianone.

Ohtani is starting as a pitcher Wednesday against the Giants but is not in the Dodgers' starting lineup as the designated hitter.

Per Sonja Chen of MLB.com, Ohtani could be available as a pinch hitter Wednesday but will only start as a pitcher. Although his batting stats this season have taken a noticeable hit -- particularly in May with a .532 OPS through 11 games -- Ohtani continues to be one of the best pitchers in baseball, with the right-hander sporting a 0.97 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 42:9 K:BB across 37 innings this season.

Muncy is not in the Dodgers' starting lineup against the Giants on Wednesday.

Muncy will be on the bench for the beginning of Wednesday's game while Santiago Espinal starts at third base and bats ninth. In 11 games since May 1, Muncy has gone 8-for-35 (.229) with two home runs and six RBI.

Ryan (hamstring) is scheduled to make his next start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Ryan has been shelved on Oklahoma City's 7-day injured list since April 17 due to a hamstring injury, but the 27-year-old right-hander has recovered enough to return to the mound for Friday's Triple-A contest. In two starts prior to his injury, Ryan allowed five runs (four earned) on nine hits and two walks while striking out 10 batters across seven innings.

The Athletics recalled Barnett from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old will return to the majors to replace Brooks Kriske, who landed on the injured list Wednesday with a shoulder injury. Barnett pitched two shutout innings during his lone appearance with the A's this season in mid-April, and he owns a 3.07 ERA and 1.27 WHIP through 29.1 frames at Las Vegas. He'll likely take on a multi-inning role out of the bullpen while with the A's.

The Athletics placed Kriske on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a right shoulder impingement.

Kriske was removed from his appearance Tuesday due to a shoulder issue, and he'll now officially be sidelined for at least the next 15 days after being diagnosed with an impingement. Mason Barnett will come up from Triple-A Las Vegas to round out the Athletics' bullpen.

Soderstrom isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

Soderstrom doesn't usually step out of the lineup when a lefty is on the mound, but he'll take a seat Wednesday with Matthew Liberatore set to start on the bump for St. Louis. Brent Rooker, Henry Bolte and Colby Thomas will start across the outfield for the A's while Soderstrom sits.

Turner is not in the Phillies' lineup against the Red Sox on Wednesday due to an illness, Paul Casella of MLB.com reports.

Turner will open Wednesday's game on the bench, though Phillies manager Don Mattingly told reporters that the star shortstop could be available to pinch hit or pinch run against Boston. Turner has been in a slump over his last 10 games, going 8-for-44 (.182) with one steal, two RBI and four runs scored over that span.

Larnach isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Larnach has gone 8-for-30 (.267) with three RBI, two runs scored and a steal since the start of May, but the Twins will hold him out of the starting nine Wednesday. While he sits, Austin Martin, Byron Buxton and Matt Wallner will form Minnesota's outfield trio.

Lewis isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Miami.

Lewis will grab a seat on the bench to begin Wednesday's contest after going 2-for-13 with an RBI, two runs scored and a steal across his last four starts. Tristan Gray will cover the hot corner and bat ninth.
