Johnson (back) was activated from the 7-day injured list May 5.

Diamondbacks' Paul Sewald: Secures ninth save

Rangers' Jakob Junis: Logs 2.2 innings as opener
Junis (0-1) took the loss Monday, allowing one run on two hits and no walks over 2.2 innings against Arizona. He struck out two.

Monday marked just the second appearance this season in which Junis allowed a run, snapping a streak of seven consecutive scoreless outings. Overall, the 33-year-old owns a 1.89 ERA and 0.79 WHIP with a 9:5 K:BB across 19 innings and figures to return to a high-leverage role moving forward, though he hasn't been called upon for a save since April 12 with Jacob Latz seizing the closer role.

Mike Soroka SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Michael Soroka: Sharp in fifth win
Soroka (5-2) earned the win Monday, allowing three hits and a walk over 6.1 scoreless innings against Texas. He struck out five.
Soroka was stellar, stifling the Texas offense with little resistance across 6.1 innings. Monday marked the right-hander's first scoreless outing since his season debut March 30 against Detroit, though he has now held opponents to two or fewer runs in six of eight starts. The 28-year-old has regularly looked sharp in his first year with Arizona, posting a 3.53 ERA and 1.32 WHIP with a 47:12 K:BB across 43.1 innings. Even those solid numbers are inflated by a lone blowup outing April 30 against Milwaukee in which he allowed eight earned runs. Soroka's next start is tentatively lined up for Sunday against Colorado.

Corniell will set his sights on staying healthy after also missing action over the last two seasons while recovering from UCL surgery.
