Ozuna isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Arizona.

Ozuna will get a breather after making five consecutive starts, during which he went 6-for-19 with a homer, five RBI and four runs scored. Oneil Cruz will serve as Pittsburgh's designated hitter in Ozuna's place, opening up center field for Jake Mangum.

Gonzales isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game versus Arizona.

Gonzales will get a day to reset after going 0-for-10 with three strikeouts across his last three games. His absence will allow Jared Triolo to start at the hot corner and bat seventh.

Davis isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Davis will step out of the starting nine Thursday after going 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in Wednesday's contest. Joey Bart will do the catching for starter Mitch Keller.

Gurriel is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game against the Pirates.

Gurriel will receive a routine day of rest after starting the last four contests. Jorge Barrosa will assume left-field duties for the Diamondbacks in the series finale.

Waldron (1-1) earned the win Wednesday over San Francisco, allowing a run on two hits and no walks over five innings. He struck out seven.

After struggling to a 9.88 ERA over his first three starts this year, the Padres elected to use an opener ahead of Waldron on Wednesday. The move paid immediate dividends, as Waldron was nearly untouchable in the San Diego victory -- the Giants' lone run came on a Rafael Devers solo homer in the fifth. Despite Wednesday's performance, it remains to be seen what Waldron's role will be going forward, as Lucas Giolito is expected to join the rotation soon.

Arenado is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Pirates.

Arenado had started every game since April 10, so he's earned a day of rest. Jose Fernandez will enter the lineup at third base in Arenado's stead.

Moreno is out of the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Pirates.

Moreno started at catcher in three of the first four games after coming off the injured list, so he'll get some rest for Thursday's matinee. James McCann is behind the dish and batting eighth for the Diamondbacks.

Devers went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Padres.

Devers hit a leadoff home run in the third inning, marking his first homer since April 8. The veteran infielder has recorded a hit in seven straight games, batting .318 with five RBI and two runs scored in 27 plate appearances during that span. He's now slashing .221/.265/.329 with 15 RBI, 10 runs scored, three long balls and a 29.8 percent strikeout rate across 151 plate appearances this season.

Dominguez was carted off the field after slamming into the outfield wall following a catch in the first inning of Thursday's game against the Rangers, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

The first batter of the game, Brandon Nimmo, drove one deep to left field and Dominguez tracked it down before crashing into a section of the outfield wall that isn't padded. He stayed down for a bit but was able to walk to the cart on his own. The Yankees should have an update on Dominguez's status soon.

Perez remains limited to designated-hitter duty due to hip soreness, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.

The hip issue first popped up for Perez a few weeks ago. Just three of his last 15 starts have come at catcher, and he's making a sixth straight start at DH on Thursday. Royals manager Matt Quatraro indicated Thursday that Perez is unlikely to return to catching this weekend. Carter Jensen will continue to start behind the plate while Perez recuperates.
