Williams earned his third save of the season Friday against the Angels, tossing a perfect ninth inning while striking out two.

Williams is trending in the right direction of late -- this was his third straight scoreless outing, and he is now 3-for-4 in save chances. Williams endured a rough stretch between April 15 and April 23, allowing eight runs on nine hits with a 6:4 K:BB across four appearances, but it looks like he's finding his groove again. Even with his struggles, Williams remains the Mets' ninth-inning arm until further notice, so he remains a valuable fantasy asset, especially considering his track record.

Smith (0-1) took the loss Friday, allowing one run on three hits in two innings of relief as the Tigers fell 5-4 to the Rangers. He struck out three.

The veteran righty got the call in a high-leverage spot but couldn't seal the deal, giving up the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth inning on an Alejandro Osuna double as Texas broke a 4-4 tie. With Kenley Jansen struggling of late, Will Vest (undisclosed) not 100 percent and Kyle Finnegan having pitched the prior two days, manager A.J. Hinch's late-game options were limited Friday, but Smith has pitched well enough since being promoted from Triple-A Toledo to potentially be in the mix. Through 7.1 innings over four appearances, he's delivered a 2.45 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 11:3 K:BB.

Mejia (0-3) was tagged with the loss in relief Friday against Atlanta, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out one in one inning.

Mejia entered the game in the top of the ninth inning in a tie game, but he couldn't hold the score. Mejia walked Kyle Farmer and was later taken deep by Michael Harris, who launched his seventh homer of the campaign. This marks the fourth time Mejia has allowed multiple runs in his 13 outings this season. He owns a 5.87 ERA and 1.83 WHIP in 2026.

Latz struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Friday to record his third save of the season in a 5-4 win over the Tigers.

The lefty produced his seventh straight appearance without allowing a run as he works his way to the top of the pecking order in the Rangers' bullpen. Latz has the team's last three saves dating back to April 25, and on the season he sports a 1.02 ERA, 0.45 WHIP and 15:3 K:BB through 17.2 innings. Latz doesn't have the premium stuff of a typical closer, but as long as he's getting the job done, manager Skip Schumaker will stick with him.

Quintana didn't factor into the decision Friday against Atlanta, tossing six innings of one-run ball while allowing five hits and striking out three. He did not issue a walk.

Quintana was coming off his best start of the season, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out five over 5.1 innings against the Mets on April 26, and he rode the momentum to his first quality start of the season in this matchup. Quintana endured significant struggles in the early stages of the campaign and posted a 6.23 ERA and 4:9 K:BB through 13 innings in his first three outings, but he's bounced back with a 1.59 ERA and 8:2 K:BB in 11.1 frames in his past two. He's scheduled to make his next start at home against the Mets.

Greene went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Rangers.

Greene has been seeing the ball well lately, as he's slashing .364/.462/.614 over his last 12 games. He recorded a hit in all but two of those contests while also tallying six multi-hit efforts in that span. Overall, Greene is slashing .291/.394/.462 with four home runs, 19 RBI and 22 runs scored across 33 games, and he remains a very strong fantasy asset.

Gore didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 5-4 win over the Tigers, giving up three runs on four hits and three walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out three.

The southpaw actually no-hit Detroit through three scoreless innings, but Tigers hitters drove up Gore's pitch count -- 25 of his 55 strikes on the night came from foul balls -- and he ran out of gas in the fourth, getting lifted after 94 total pitches. It's another disappointing outing from the Rangers' big offseason pitching acquisition, who hasn't been able to complete more than five frames in any of his last five trips to the mound. Gore will take a 4.67 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 45:18 K:BB through 34.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come on the road next week in Yankee Stadium.

Flaherty allowed four runs on five hits across 3.2 innings and did not factor into the decision in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Rangers. He walked three and struck out four.

For the third straight start, Flaherty failed to pitch at least four innings, and he has an ugly 10.00 ERA and 2.67 WHIP during this stretch. Overall, the righty has a 5.90 ERA and 1.79 WHIP, and he's already walked 25 batters across 29 innings this season. Flaherty should get the opportunity to work out of his funk, but he's hard to trust right now from a fantasy perspective. His next outing is scheduled for Wednesday at home against the Red Sox.

Fuentes (1-0) earned the win in relief Friday against the Rockies after tossing a scoreless eighth inning. He did not record a walk or a strikeout.

Fuentes allowed a baserunner when he plunked Tyler Freeman, but that would be the only threat in an inning in which he had some issues finding the strike zone -- he tossed only eight of his 15 pitches for strikes. Fuentes has looked good overall since returning from Triple-A Gwinnett, posting back-to-back scoreless and hitless appearances with a 1:1 K:BB through three frames.

Holmes didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Rockies, allowing six runs (five earned) on seven hits and three walks across five innings. He struck out four.

This was far from Holmes' best outing, though the expectations weren't very high considering the disadvantage that Coors Field represents from a pitching perspective. The reality is that Holmes has been trending in the wrong direction, as he has just one quality start over his last four outings. During that stretch, the right-hander has a 5.95 ERA and 1.53 WHIP with a 15:9 K:BB across 19.2 innings. He's scheduled to make his next start on the road against the Mariners next week.
