Crawford (forearm) is expected to remain on the injured list for the rest of the season, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

The Red Sox announced around the All-Star break that Crawford had resumed playing catch, but news has been scarce on the right-hander ever since. After his 2025 season came to an early end due to right wrist surgery, Crawford was further set back in the spring by the flu. He opened the season on the injured list and appeared to be in line for just a brief absence, but he was pulled off a rehab assignment in mid-April after experiencing right flexor irritation, and he experienced renewed tightness in his forearm in early June. Though he's under club control through 2028, he could be a non-tender candidate this winter after having essentially two straight seasons lost to injury.

Rodriguez (15-5) notched the win against the Astros on Sunday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out six.

American League MVP frontrunner Yordan Alvarez took Rodriguez deep in the first inning, but that was all the offense Houston would muster. The southpaw has regularly generated quality starts all year long, racking up 18 of them over 29 outings. He'll carry a strong 2.55 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 128:57 K:BB through 173 innings into his next scheduled appearance against Texas.

Lambert (8-8) took the loss against the Diamondbacks on Sunday, allowing three runs on seven hits and no walks in seven innings. He struck out six.

Lambert gave up three runs across the second and third innings, but he settled in after that. It was his first quality start since July 22 versus Miami, and he's yielded two runs or fewer in 10 of his last 12 outings. He'll bring a solid 3.67 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 137:56 K:BB over 139.2 innings into his next scheduled appearance against the Rays at Tropicana Field.

Oviedo (elbow) threw a live batting practice session Friday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Oviedo secured a spot in the Red Sox's Opening Day bullpen, making one 3.2-inning appearance March 30, but he hasn't pitched since due to a right flexor strain. Now that he's finally facing hitters again, Oviedo could be close to a rehab assignment. He'll need multiple appearances in the minors to knock off the rust.

Arrighetti (7-9) took the loss against the Royals on Sunday, allowing six runs on four hits and three walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out three.

Arrighetti never quite found his footing Sunday, coughing up three runs in the first inning. The right-hander's effectiveness continues to take a tailspin, as he's given up at least four runs in six of his last 13 outings while working fewer than five innings in five straight. He'll take an 8.04 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 13:8 K:BB over 15.2 innings for Toronto into his next scheduled appearance against the Tigers.

Thorpe (elbow) struck out three batters and allowed two earned runs on four hits and no walks over five innings in his most recent rehab start for Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday.

Thorpe has been on the shelf all season while completing his recovery from April 2025 Tommy John surgery. He's been able to complete five innings in three of four Triple-A outings, but rather than activating him from the 60-day injured list, the White Sox have so far elected to keep him on an extended rehab assignment. Over four appearances for Triple-A Charlotte, he's turned in a 3.20 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 18:3 K:BB in 19.2 innings.

Dobnak (3-3) earned the win against the Blue Jays on Sunday, allowing one run on four hits and no walks in six innings. He struck out three.

A solo home run by Josh Smith in the sixth inning left the lone blemish on Dobnak's line in an otherwise excellent performance. The right-hander has been a reliable presence in Kansas City's injury-riddled rotation, giving up more than one run just four times across his 12 outings. He'll take a 2.54 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 43:23 K:BB over 63.2 innings into his next scheduled appearance against the Red Sox.

The Yankees optioned Rodriguez to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Padres.

Rodriguez turned in a quality start at home against the Astros on Aug. 26 and was rewarded with another start Monday against the Angels. However, he failed to build on the success from his previous outing, allowing four runs and taking the loss in Anaheim. The 23-year-old right-hander will now return to Triple-A as Will Warren slots back into the New York rotation this week against Colorado.

Phillips (5-6) earned the win against the Cubs on Sunday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out three.

Following a pair of scoreless innings, Phillips gave up one run in each of his next three frames. The right-hander has reached the 90-pitch threshold just twice this season and has worked into the sixth inning just three times in 17 starts, so he's had little streaming appeal. He'll take a 3.51 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 93:48 K:BB over 115.1 innings into his next appearance, which lines up to be a tough matchup against the Dodgers.

Holmes (6-7) took the loss against the Marlins on Sunday, allowing eight runs on six hits and three walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

It was perhaps a season-worst outing by Holmes, who got the hook after 80 pitches (46 strikes). The right-hander has given up one run or fewer in four of his six starts for the Cubs, but he's tallied two strikeouts or fewer three times since coming over from the Mets. He'll carry a 3.51 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 20:12 K:BB over 33.1 innings for Chicago into his next scheduled appearance versus Pittsburgh.
