Clark isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

The lefty-swinging Clark will receive his first day off since arriving in the big leagues as the Tigers prepare to face left-hander Anthony Kay. Ben Malgeri, Javier Baez and Corey Julks will form Detroit's outfield trio Saturday.

Flores went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 8-4 win over the Red Sox.

The 25-year-old rookie took Jake Bennett deep for a solo shot in the second inning -- per Aiden Stepansky of MLB.com, that made Flores just the fifth Pirate in the last 21 seasons to homer in three straight plate appearances, after he went yard twice Thursday. He's banged out five hits in those two contests, doubling his big-league total on the season, and through 14 games for the Bucs dating back to June 10 he's slashing .294/.400/.676 with four homers and 10 RBI while bouncing between first base and catcher.

Sullivan went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored Friday against the Giants.

Sullivan doubled to lead off the fifth inning and came around to score, and he crossed the plate again in the ninth frame after reaching base on a single. He is the clear backup to Hunter Goodman at catcher, though Sullivan has started three of Colorado's last five games with Goodman slotting in at designated hitter.

Montgomery recorded his fourth save of the season in Friday's 8-4 win over the Red Sox, striking out the only batter he faced.

After Luke Weaver worked a perfect eighth inning, Kirby Yates got the call in the ninth to protect a five-run lead but ran into trouble with two outs, forcing manager Don Kelly to turn to Montgomery with the tying run in the on-deck circle. Despite the Pirates' veteran bullpen additions at the trade deadline, it's Montgomery who's collected the team's last two saves and three of the last four, with Gregory Soto getting the other. Montgomery has more than earned a shot at the full-time closer role -- he's been scored upon just once in his last 17 appearances dating back to June 29, producing a 1.15 ERA, 0.64 WHIP and 32:6 K:BB in just 15.2 innings over that dominant stretch.

Chandler (6-8) picked up the win in Friday's 8-4 victory over the Red Sox, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out five.

The right-hander blanked Boston for four frames before running into a bit of trouble in the fifth, but the Pirates had already built a 4-0 lead at that point. Chandler has won three straight starts and given up three earned runs or fewer in six straight, posting a 2.56 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 29:12 K:BB through 31.2 innings over that latter stretch. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is set to come at home next week against the Tigers.

Bennett (7-6) took the loss Friday, giving up four runs on five hits and a walk over four innings as the Red Sox fell 8-4 to the Pirates. He struck out six.

The rookie left-hander gave up a solo shot early to Rafael Flores, but the wheels really came off in the fourth when four of the first five Pittsburgh batters rattled hits off Bennett, including a two-run double by Esmerlyn Valdez. Bennett has been tagged for at least three runs in five straight trips to the mound, stumbling to a 5.67 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB in 27 innings over that stretch. He'll try to turn things around in his next start, which lines up to come at home next week against the Diamondbacks.

Norby went 0-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base Friday against the Giants.

Norby was recalled to the majors as a depth option, but Kyle Karros' (concussion) subsequent placement on the injured list has opened up a starting opportunity. Willi Castro has shifted to third base, while Norby has made three consecutive starts at second base. He has yet to collect a hit, but he has drawn four walks in 11 plate appearances.

Primera rose in MLB's prospect rankings to fourth in Boston's system after being unranked in the preseason, Brendan Samson of MLB.com reports.

Primera, who showed promise at the rookie-level Dominican Summer League in 2025, continued to trend upward in 2026. He slashed .427/.549/.718 during 32 games in the Florida Complex League and earned a promotion to Single-A Salem, where he continued to hit. The 19-year-old is slashing .333/.465/.490 over 29 games for Salem. He's brought an advanced approach, walking 37 times compared to 31 strikeouts between the two levels. He's played catcher only for Salem but was also used at first base in the FCL.

The White Sox optioned Quero to Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday.

Quero will give up his spot on the active roster to Jake Rogers, who was claimed off waivers from Boston on Friday. Quero has slashed just .208/.279/.262 across 210 plate appearances in the majors this season and will have an even harder time earning opportunities with the big club now that he's one of five catchers on the 40-man roster.

Pagan pitched a perfect ninth inning Friday to record his 15th save of the season in a 1-0 win over the Marlins. He didn't strike out a batter.

The veteran reliever had been dealing with hand soreness earlier in the week and missed out on a save chance Thursday as a result, but Pagan didn't seem bothered by the issue Friday, firing eight of 11 pitches for strikes. He's gone 10 straight appearances without allowing a run since a rocky outing at Coors Field on July 19, posting a 0.40 WHIP and 11:0 K:BB in 10 innings over that stellar stretch while converting all eight of his save opportunities.
