Diaz walked two and hit a batter while striking out one in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Friday's 3-1 win over the Brewers.

Diaz still made it interesting by loading the bases with two outs, but he was able to avoid giving up a run for just the third time in his last eight outings. This was his second save in his last five chances, but the Dodgers appear committed to letting him work through his struggles. Diaz has posted a 10.66 ERA, 2.45 WHIP and 19:10 K:BB while converting seven of 11 save opportunities across 12.2 innings this season.

Scholtens allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out two across three innings during the Rays' 6-5 loss to the Orioles on Friday.

Steven Matz served as the Rays' opener Friday and recorded the first three outs before handing the keys to Scholtens. Scholtens proceeded to give up a run in both the second and third innings, the latter of which came on a Colton Cowser solo homer. It was Scholtens' first major-league appearance since May 25, after he spent two months on the injured list due to a right wrist strain before being optioned to Triple-A Durham in late July. It's unclear whether he'll stick around the majors past Friday's outing, given that Shane McClanahan (back) is nearing a return from the 15-day IL.

Yamamoto (12-7) allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out nine over six innings to earn the win over the Brewers on Friday.

Yamamoto was able to pick up his fourth quality start in five outings since the All-Star break, and his nine strikeouts were his most in any game in that span. The star right-hander limited the damage to a Joey Ortiz sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. Yamamoto is now at a 2.60 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 136:34 K:BB through 145.1 innings over 22 starts this season. His next outing is projected to be at home versus the Pirates.

Gasser (3-5) allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out seven over 6.1 innings to take the loss versus the Dodgers on Friday.

Gasser posted a quality start, but he was also tagged for solo home runs by Andy Pages and Tommy Edman. This marks the first time Gasser has allowed a long ball in his last four starts, and he's given up just nine runs over 22 innings in that span. For the season, he's posted a 4.54 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 68:19 K:BB through 73.1 innings over 14 starts. He's projected to make his next start in another tough matchup at home versus Atlanta next week.

Simpson went 1-for-4 with a walk and two steals during Tampa Bay's 6-5 loss to Baltimore on Friday.

Simpson stole second base in the first and ninth innings of Friday's game, though neither of those moves resulted in a run scored for the speedy outfielder. He's logged two steals in two of his last three games and six times this season. Simpson's 35 swipes are second most in the majors behind Nasim Nunez (40), and Simpson's .306 batting average ranks fifth among qualifiers.

Burger went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Friday's 8-3 loss to the Athletics.

Burger's blast forced Gage Jump's exit from the contest in the sixth inning, but it was also the extent of the Rangers' scoring. The homer ended a 15-game power drought for Burger, who went just 10-for-51 (.196) with two doubles and two RBI in that span. Despite the slump, he's holding onto a near-everyday role at first base. Burger is batting .234 with a .709 OPS, 20 homers, 71 RBI, 50 runs scored, 17 doubles and two stolen bases over 117 contests this season.

Rocker allowed three runs on four hits, five walks and a hit batsman while striking out three over five innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Friday.

Rocker threw just 47 of 94 pitches for strikes while setting a new season high in walks. He's giving up too many baserunners in August -- he's allowed 21 hits and nine walks over 13.1 innings over his last three outings, leading to 12 runs. Rocker is now at a 4.50 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 106:47 K:BB through 116 innings over 23 games (21 starts). He is projected to make his next start at home versus the Nationals.

Sanders was credited with the save in Friday's 6-5 win over the Rays after recording the final out.

Yennier Cano was brought in for the ninth inning to secure the Orioles' 6-2 lead, but he proceeded to give up three runs before getting the hook. Sanders answered the call, with his first pitch of the frame resulting in a flyout by Ryan Vilade to end the game. The Orioles have gone with a closing committee in the absence of Ryan Helsley (elbow) and Felix Bautista (shoulder) -- Andrew Kittredge worked the seventh inning Friday, while Rico Garcia handled the eighth -- but Sanders isn't likely to join the mix. He's appeared in three games out of the bullpen since he was recalled from Triple-A Norkolk on Monday, giving up two runs in 3.2 innings with a 2:1 K:BB.

Butler went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 8-3 win over the Rangers.

Butler has homered in three straight games, and he's hit five of his 10 long balls on the year over his last 15 contests. The outfielder's recent strong play has helped him reclaim a starting role in right field. Overall, he's batting .207 with a .643 OPS, 34 RBI, 46 runs scored, 13 doubles, one triple and nine stolen bases over 114 contests.

McNeil went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, two doubles and three total RBI in Friday's 8-3 win over the Rangers.

McNeil has gone 13-for-30 (.433) over nine contests in August. He is filling a strong-side platoon role at first base in the absence of Nick Kurtz (thumb), though McNeil's versatility could help him see action around the infield if Tommy White starts to push for a full-time gig. For the year, McNeil is batting .263 with a .672 OPS, five homers, 39 RBI, 33 runs scored, 15 doubles and six stolen bases over 106 contests.
