  • Michael Harris CF | ATL

Braves' Michael Harris: Back in action Saturday

Harris (back) will start in center field and bat fifth Saturday against the Brewers.

Harris missed two starts after exiting Tuesday's game with lower-back tightness and was left out of the first iteration of Atlanta's lineup Saturday, but he appears to have checked out healthy before the game and will now return to the starting nine. The 25-year-old outfielder has logged a hit in 10 of the 12 games he's played this month while slashing .326/.383/.465 with a home run, five RBI and eight runs scored.

  • Giants' Daniel Susac: Sitting Saturday

Susac isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Miami.

Susac will move to the bench after going 1-for-3 with a sacrifice fly in Friday's loss. Eric Haase will fill in as the Giants' catcher and bat ninth.

  • Giants' Adrian Houser: Relegated to bullpen

Giants manager Tony Vitello said Saturday that Houser will pitch out of the bullpen going forward, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Houser will exit the rotation after putting up a 7.00 ERA and 1.83 WHIP over his last five starts and failing to complete five innings in any of them. He was limited to just one inning in his most recent start Tuesday in Atlanta, though that game ended up being suspended in the second inning due to inclement weather. Houser will cede his spot in the rotation to Tyler Mahle (hamstring), who is set to return from the injured list to start Wednesday versus the Athletics.

  • Mariners' Curtis Washington: Outrighted to High-A

Washington cleared waivers Saturday and was sent outright to High-A Everett.

Washington was added to the Mariners' active roster Tuesday to serve as emergency bench depth on short notice, but he'll now return to High-A and give up his spot on the 40-man roster. The 26-year-old outfielder is slashing .203/.296/.419 across 170 plate appearances at Everett this season and could make a push to reach Double-A by the end of the year.

  • Javier Sanoja 3B | MIA

Marlins' Javier Sanoja: Getting rest Saturday

Sanoja isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants.

Sanoja will get a chance to catch his breath Saturday after going 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored during a win in Friday's series opener. Leo Jimenez will pick up a start at the hot corner as a result and bat ninth.

  • Xavier Edwards 2B | MIA

Marlins' Xavier Edwards: Back in lineup

Edwards (thumb) will start at second base and bat fourth Saturday against the Giants.

Thumb soreness prevented Edwards from starting Friday's contest, but he seems to be feeling better after getting a day to rest. The 26-year-old has struggled since the beginning of June, slashing .192/.286/.192 with six RBI, two runs and three steals across 63 plate appearances.

  • Rangers' Alejandro Osuna: Getting rest Saturday

Osuna isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against San Diego.

Osuna has gone 4-for-16 with two RBI and three runs scored while starting five consecutive games in the Rangers' outfield, but he'll retreat to the bench Saturday while Jarred Kelenic starts in left field, batting sixth.

  • Jonny DeLuca RF | TB

Rays' Jonny DeLuca: On bench Saturday

DeLuca isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

DeLuca blasted a solo home run during his first game back from the injured list Friday, but the Rays will hold him out of the starting nine Saturday as they look to ease him back into regular playing time. Victor Mesa will fill in as Tampa Bay's right fielder and bat seventh.

  • Giants' Gregory Santos: Begins rehab assignment

Santos (adductor) allowed one earned run on two hits and one walk while striking out one over one inning during the ACL Giants' 7-4 loss to the ACL Athletics in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Friday.

Triple-A Sacramento placed Santos on its 7-day injured list May 26 with a right adductor strain, and he returned to action in Arizona. The 26-year-old right-hander gave up two singles while throwing 16 of his 20 pitches for strikes. He has spent most of the season at Triple-A, where he owns a 4.50 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 10:7 K:BB across 14 innings in 12 appearances.

  • Giants' Casey Schmitt: Multi-hit effort in loss

Schmitt went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Marlins.

Schmitt singled in the second inning and added an RBI single in the sixth. The 27-year-old has recorded two hits in four straight games and is now batting .264 with six runs scored, six RBI, three home runs and two stolen bases over 74 plate appearances in June. Overall, he's slashing .286/.316/.509 with 39 RBI, 33 runs scored, 15 long balls and seven stolen bases across 285 plate appearances on the year.
