Rodriguez allowed three runs in the first inning and struggled with his control, throwing just 47 of 83 pitches for strikes and issuing four walks. On the other hand, he generated an impressive 15 whiffs and tallied a season-high eight punchouts. It comes on the heels of consecutive two-run outings from the 26-year-old, who's been unable to register a win in five starts since the All-Star break. He'll take a 7.20 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 50:26 K across 55 innings this season into a home matchup with the Royals next weekend.

Glasnow (back) pitched 2.2 innings, allowing one run on one hit and a walk while striking out two batters in Sunday's rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Glasnow made the second start of his minor-league rehab assignment, and he was able to notch 26 strikes over 47 total pitches. The team had set a goal of roughly three innings and 45 pitches for the right-hander, so he fulfilled what was expected. Glasnow will need to make at least one more start at the minor-league level before he'd be in a position to be activated from the 60-day injured list.

Gusto did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 12-3 win over the Angels, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk with four strikeouts over four innings.

Gusto threw 44 of 60 pitches for strikes, settling in with two scoreless innings after allowing a run in each of his first two frames. It was a short outing considering the 27-year-old logged 11 innings over his previous two turns, including an 83-pitch quality start Tuesday. He owns a 4.78 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 43:14 K across 49 innings this season and lines up for a road matchup with the Reds next weekend.

Sanoja went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 12-3 win over the Angels.

Sanoja delivered an RBI single in the fourth inning before driving in two more in the fifth. The 23-year-old has now hit safely in seven of eight August contests, going 10-for-27 with five extra-base hits and seven RBI during that stretch. On the year, he's slashing .274/.312/.411 with four homers, 42 RBI, 29 runs scored and six stolen bases across 318 plate appearances.

Conine went 2-for-4 with two home runs, a walk and three RBI in Sunday's 12-3 win over the Angels.

Conine notched his first career multi-homer effort, going deep in the fifth and eighth innings. The 29-year-old has found his power stroke in the second half, tallying seven home runs in 22 games since the All-Star break. For the season, he's slashing .265/.349/.544 with 12 long balls, 26 RBI, 23 runs scored and two steals across just 166 plate appearances.

The Brewers promoted Burke from Double-A Biloxi to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.

Burke has had a remarkable season with Double-A Biloxi, slashing .285/.367/.603 with 30 home runs and 28 steals in 96 games. The 23-year-old has shown impressive power throughout his entire professional career since the Brewers selected him 34th overall in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, and if he maintains a similar level of production with Nashville, he could have a shot at making his MLB debut early in 2027.

Holmes did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 2-1, extra-inning win over the Yankees, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out two over six scoreless innings.

Holmes needed just 77 pitches to cruise through six scoreless innings, generating 10 swinging strikes while limiting the Yankees to one extra-base hit. The 30-year-old has now delivered back-to-back scoreless quality starts, and he's yielded three earned runs or fewer in 16 straight appearances dating back to May 12. He'll carry a 3.47 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 94:48 K:BB across 114 innings this season into a home matchup with the Diamondbacks next weekend.

Schlittler did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 2-1, extra-inning loss to Atlanta, allowing one run on three hits with 11 strikeouts over seven innings.

Schlittler was dominant until surrendering a solo homer to Matt Olson in the seventh inning, throwing 67 of 96 pitches for strikes with a whopping 23 whiffs. It was a quick rebound after the 25-year-old stumbled in his shortest outing of the year Monday, and he's now delivered three double-digit strikeout efforts on the campaign. He'll take a 2.21 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 182:31 K across 146.2 innings into a road matchup with the Blue Jays next weekend.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Ohtani (knee/biceps) is scheduled to play catch Monday for the second time in three days, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Ohtani served as the Dodgers' designated hitter in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Diamondbacks, going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Before playing catch out to 90 feet Saturday, Ohtani had been shut down from throwing for approximately two weeks due to lingering soreness and inflammation in his left knee as well as a right biceps issue, which cropped up during his last bullpen session July 22. The two-way superstar reported no issues coming out of Saturday's catch session and is set to repeat the activity Monday, but Roberts wouldn't provide a timeline for when Ohtani might get back on a mound, terming it as a "day-by-day" decision. The Dodgers are planning on Ohtani being part of their rotation in the postseason, and while he's still expected to resume pitching in games before the end of the regular season, he may not be ready to handle a traditional starting role and could instead be deployed as more of an opener while he gradually builds up his pitch count.

Briceno was promoted to Triple-A Toledo on Sunday, per MLB Pipeline.

Briceno will move up to Triple-A after producing a .297 average with eight home runs, 19 RBI and 15 runs scored over 64 at-bats in 17 contests with Double-A Erie. The 21-year-old is considered to be one of Detroit's top overall prospects and a top 100 prospect in baseball, and he is now just one step away from making his major-league debut.
