Guerrero (hamstring) returned to action Saturday evening against the Phillies and homered in his first at-bat against Aaron Nola.

Guerrero has been nursing hamstring and back issues in the midst of a terribly disappointing season. The homer Saturday night was his seventh of the season -- all on the road. With two hits in his first four plate appearances Saturday night, his slugging percentage remains paltry at .359.

Chandler (5-8) earned the win against the Mets on Saturday, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out five across six scoreless innings.

Chandler got plenty of run support from his teammates, who supplied eight runs through the first four innings. The 23-year-old right-hander held his end of the bargain, facing the minimum number of batters in three of six frames while ending his night with back-to-back strikeouts in the sixth inning en route to his fourth quality start of the season (and second since the All-Star break). Chandler will take a 4.26 ERA and 1.38 WHIP over 116.1 innings into his next start, which is lined up for next weekend against the Red Sox at Fenway Park.

Williams is in the starting lineup for Saturday's matchup with Seattle.

Williams will make his first appearance with the big-league club since May 27 after being recalled from Triple-A Durham on Friday. With Taylor Walls (back) scratched from Saturday's lineup, Williams will take over at shortstop and bat ninth for Tampa Bay. In 33 plate appearances with the Rays, the 23-year-old has batted .100/.156/.133 with three RBI this season.

Ortiz left Saturday's game against Minnesota early due to neck tightness, Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920 Milwaukee reports.

Ortiz left Saturday's affair after just one at-bat, which resulted in a strikeout, due to neck tightness. The 28-year-old was taken out of the game in the top of the fourth inning and replaced by David Hamilton at third base. If Ortiz has to miss additional time, look for Hamilton and Cooper Pratt to see action at the hot corner.

Edwards went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and three RBI in Saturday's 7-0 rout of the Angels.

The second baseman kicked the Marlins' offense into gear with a two-run double in the third inning as he tied his season high in RBI. Remarkably, it was the first time Edwards had scored multiple runs in a game since June 30 -- coming into Saturday, he'd crossed the plate only four times in his last 31 contests despite consistently hitting in the top half of the lineup. On the season, Edwards sports a .287/.367/.394 slash line with six homers, 18 steals, 44 RBI and 54 runs in 429 plate appearances.

Tampa Bay scratched Walls from the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mariners due to lower-back tightness, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Walls was penciled in for a fifth consecutive start at shortstop but will instead hit the bench due to the back issue. Carson Williams will replace Walls at shortstop and bat ninth for Tampa Bay.

Alcantara (13-6) picked up the win in Saturday's 7-0 rout of the Angels, scattering three hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings. He struck out eight.

With his eighth out of the afternoon -- a strikeout of Josh Lowe -- the veteran righty became the Marlins' all-time leader in innings pitched, passing Ricky Nolasco. Alcantara has been locked in of late, tossing 20 consecutive shutout frames over his last three outings and winning all three while posting a 0.75 WHIP and 18:4 K:BB. His 13 wins are tied for second in the NL, behind Cristopher Sanchez's 15. Alcantara will look to keep rolling in his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road next weekend in Cincinnati.

Nola was removed from his start Saturday against the Blue Jays in the top of the sixth inning due to a right knee contusion, Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic reports. He struck out eight and was charged with two earned runs on six hits and two walks over five innings.

Nola allowed his final hit of the night to Jesus Sanchez, who recorded an infield single to lead off the sixth inning after sending a comebacker off the right-hander's knee. X-rays cleared Nola of any structural damage to his knee, but he'll be monitored closely over the next day or two before the Phillies lock him in for his next start. The Phillies are now dealing with multiple injuries in their starting rotation, as Andrew Painter (hamstring) was forced out early in Wednesday's 11-inning loss to the Nationals.

Urena (7-8) took the loss Saturday, coughing up four runs on four hits and three walks over 2.1 innings as the Angels were routed 7-0 by the Marlins. He struck out two.

The rookie right-hander faced the minimum six batters through the first two innings, but the wheels came off in the third, and Urena got the hook after just 50 pitches (30 strikes) in his shortest appearance since moving into the rotation in mid-April. The rough outing ended a streak of three straight quality starts for Urena, and he allowed just three earned runs total over his last five outings. He'll take a 2.83 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 97:55 K:BB through 101.2 innings into his next start, which is set to come at home next week against the Rangers.

Bennett (7-5) took the loss Saturday, giving up four runs on five hits and three walks over 5.1 innings as the Red Sox were downed 7-3 by the A's. He struck out five.

After an impressive beginning to his career, big-league hitters may have figured Bennett out. The left-hander has been tagged for at least three runs in four straight outings, stumbling to a 5.09 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 17:7 K:BB over 23 innings. He has worked at least five frames in all 13 of his starts for Boston, however, and with the team's pitching depth depleted by trades and injuries, his spot in the rotation seems secure even if his performance continues to regress. Bennett lines up to make his next start on the road next weekend in Pittsburgh.
