After the Red Sox blew through their bullpen in Thursday's 13-inning affair against the White Sox, reinforcements were needed, and Weissert is the odd man out. Raymond Burgos has been added to the big-league roster.

Guerrero (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Phillies.
Guerrero will miss a third straight start due to hamstring tightness and general fatigue. Kazuma Okamoto is starting at first base again and batting fifth against Phillies right-hander Zack Wheeler.

White Sox's Chris Murphy: Placed on injured list
The White Sox placed Murphy on the 15-day injured list Friday with a left flexor strain.
The left-hander worked 1.1 innings of relief in Thursday's extra-innings loss to the Red Sox and allowed one unearned run without allowing a hit. He owns a 4.20 ERA and 29:15 K:BB across 30 innings this season. Chicago recalled David Sandlin from Triple-A Charlotte to take Murphy's place on the 26-man roster.

White Sox's Joey Bart: Sent to injured list
The White Sox placed Bart on the 10-day injured list Friday due to a fractured fifth metacarpal in his left hand.
Bart suffered the injury when he was hit by a pitch in Thursday's loss to the Red Sox. With Bart expected to miss multiple weeks, Edgar Quero is back from Triple-A to form a catching tandem with Drew Romo for the White Sox.

White Sox's David Sandlin: Back with big club
The White Sox recalled Sandlin from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.
Sandlin will replace Chris Murphy (forearm) on the 26-man roster, as Murphy was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Sandlin has worked almost exclusively as a starter this season but figures to slide into a long-relief role with Chicago.

Nationals' Jorbit Vivas: Absent from lineup
Vivas is not in the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Reds.
The lefty-swinging Vivas started at third base each of the last three times the Nationals faced a right-hander, but he'll begin this one on the bench as righty Chase Petty starts a bullpen game for Cincinnati. Brady House will be at the hot corner and bat third.

Angels' George Klassen: Officially promoted Friday
The Angels recalled Klassen from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.
Klassen is making the start Friday against the Marlins. He opened the season in the Halos' rotation but was hammered for seven runs (six earned) on seven hits and 10 walks with six strikeouts across 4.2 innings spanning two starts before he was dispatched to Salt Lake. The 24-year-old right-hander pitched to a 3.96 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 88:46 K:BB across 19 starts at Triple-A.
