  Patterson agreed to a training camp contract with the Trail Blazers on Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Patterson spent the past two seasons with the Clippers, where he appeared in 97 games (23 starts) and averaged 5.0 points and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 37.7 percent from distance. If he makes the Blazers' final roster, he could see backup power forward minutes, but he'd be competing with Larry Nance and Nassir Little.

  Patterson had 12 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt) and six rebounds across 21 minutes in Friday's win over the Rockets. Patterson moved to the starting lineup due to the absence of Marcus Morris (rest), and he performed well, scoring in double digits for the second time over his last five appearances. That said, Morris should return to the starting five Monday at New Orleans, meaning Patterson would head back to the bench.

  Patterson is a late addition to the Clippers' starting lineup for Friday's matchup with the Rockets, Mirjam Swanson of the Los Angeles Daily News reports. Patterson will replace Marcus Morris (rest) in the starting five. He has averaged 6.7 points and 2.0 rebounds across 20.6 minutes in three starts this season.

  Patterson played 14 minutes off the bench and contributed 18 points (6-8 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one block and one steal during Friday's 106-103 loss to the 76ers. Friday was only the third time this season that Patterson had scored in double figures as his 18 points and five three-pointers were both tops this season. Patterson, even with the hot hand, could not top 15 minutes of playing time. While the outburst was nice for the Clippers, he can not be counted on to post this kind of performance on a nightly basis, especially when Kawhi Leonard (foot) gets healthy.
