Brunson finished with 36 points (14-22 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 2-4 FT), one rebound, five assists and two steals across 31 minutes during Friday's 128-98 victory over the Pistons. Brunson scored a season-high 36 points, besting his previous mark of 26 which he set against Indiana on Oct. 25. Given the standard he set last season, it hasn't been a perfect start for Brunson and the new-look Knicks, but they were certainly on their game Friday night, albeit against an inferior opponent. Brunson scored at least 30 points 43 times last year, including the postseason.

Brunson had 22 points (6-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 7-8 FT), two rebounds and nine assists in 36 minutes during Wednesday's 116-107 victory over the Heat. Brunson struggled with his shot Wednesday, but he thrived in the playmaking role while Karl-Anthony Towns carried New York's offense with a season-high 44-point effort. Brunson has been slumping with his shot over his last two games, shooting a combined 14-for-42 in that span, but that shouldn't worry fantasy managers. The star guard should bounce back sooner rather than later, although a slight decrease in his scoring figures to allow Towns to become the No. 1 option on offense might be due to happen.

Brunson checked back into Monday's game against Cleveland with 11:01 remaining in the fourth quarter after heading back to the locker room with a knee injury, Steve Popper of Newsday reports. Brunson was checked out by trainers after limping back to the locker room following a drive to the basket. He was stretching his right knee on the bench and was seen wearing a knee brace -- which he has since taken off. The All-Star is expected to finish off the game after missing the majority of the third quarter.

Brunson briefly went to the locker room in the third quarter of Monday's game against the Cavaliers due to a knee injury, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports. Brunson appeared to be in discomfort after a drive to the basket. He was checked on by trainers and went back to the locker room, but he has returned to the bench and was seen working with elastic bands while sporting a wrap around his right knee. It remains to be seen whether he'll be able to return to Monday's game.

Brunson had 26 points (10-19 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and five assists over 30 minutes during Friday's 123-98 victory over Indiana. Brunson has reached the 20-point mark while shooting over 50 percent from the field in his first two games. The star point guard is making the most of this new offense while also sharing the load with two newcomers, Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges. Brunson isn't expected to shoot this efficiently throughout the entire year. Still, he's undoubtedly enjoying an excellent start to the season while leading the Knicks amid a complicated schedule to start the campaign.
