  Christie will come off the bench in Tuesday's game against the Jazz, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports. The 25-year-old got the spot start in Saturday's win over the Pelicans with Cam Reddish (leg) sidelined. However, Christie will reprise his usual role off the bench Tuesday, and in his last five appearances off the bench he has averaged 4.8 points and 1.6 rebounds across 11.2 minutes per game.

  Christie is in the Lakers' starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Pelicans, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports. Christie will make his first start of the 2024-25 regular season Saturday due to Rui Hachimura (ankle) and Cam Reddish (leg) both being sidelined. Christie's playing time has been inconsistent, but he did play 30 minutes off the bench against the Spurs on Friday and finished with 11 points, three rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block.

  Christie will return to the bench for Tuesday's preseason game against the Warriors, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports. Christie started in place of Austin Reaves (ankle) versus Milwaukee on Thursday, but with Reaves returning, Christie will reassume his role amongst the second unit. However, coach JJ Redick said Tuesday that Reaves will be on a minutes restriction for precautionary reasons, according to Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times, so Christie will likely still see heavy usage off the bench.

  Christie is starting Thursday's preseason game against the Bucks. Christie will start his second game of the preseason due to the absence of Austin Reaves (ankle) Thursday evening. Christie fared well in the opener with the first unit, recording 11 points, seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks in 34 minutes.
