  • The Nets and Johnson agreed to terms on a multi-year contract Saturday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Johnson spent the 2023-24 season on a two-way contract and appeared in just five games with the Nets. However, the 21-year-old was excellent in the G League, averaging 17.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 steals in 41 regular-season games while leading the Long Island Nets to the G League finals. The 22-year-old also showed well enough in Summer League to earn a multi-year deal with the rebuilding Nets.

  • Nets' Keon Johnson: Ready to contribute
    By RotoWire

Johnson is available for Wednesday's game against the Bucks, NBA freelance journalist Billy Reinhardt reports. The Nets are resting Nic Claxton (ankle), Cameron Johnson (knee) and Spencer Dinwiddie (not injury related) on Wednesday, while Lonnie Walker (hamstring) and Ben Simmons (back) remain out, so Johnson, Armoni Brooks, Noah Clowney and Dariq Whitehead will all be available versus Milwaukee and could crack the rotation. Johnson has yet to appear in an NBA game this season.

    By RotoWire

The Nets signed Johnson to a two-way deal on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Johnson averaged 4.7 points, 1.5 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 10.4 minutes across 40 games in 2022-23 for the Trail Blazers. The No. 21 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft was traded to Phoenix this offseason and subsequently waived. With Brooklyn, Johnson is set to split time between the NBA and G League.

  • Suns' Keon Johnson: Headed to Phoenix
    By RotoWire

Johnson (finger) was traded to the Suns on Wednesday as part of a three-team deal between Phoenix, Portland and Milwaukee, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. The deal also sends Damian Lillard to Milwaukee, Jusuf Nurkic to the Suns, and Jrue Holiday and Deandre Ayton to Portland. Johnson isn't a headliner of this blockbuster deal, but he's another depth option for a top-heavy Suns team. Across 40 appearances for Portland last year, the 6-foot-3 guard averaged 4.7 points, 1.5 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per game. Johnson is a raw prospect and likely won't carve out a substantial role to start 2023-24.
