  • Rudy Gobert C | MIN

Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Strong defensive effort in Game 1

Gobert amassed seven points (3-7 FG, 1-5 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, one block and four steals in 30 minutes during Monday's 104-102 victory over San Antonio in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

While he fell short of his second straight double-double, Gobert's four steals and five combined steals and blocks were both highs for this postseason, and he recorded double-digit rebounds for the fifth time. The veteran center is averaging 7.6 points, 10.6 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.1 blocks through seven playoff contests heading into Game 2 on Wednesday.

  • Johni Broome PF | PHI

76ers' Johni Broome: Makes garbage-time cameo

Broome played the final 4:33 of Monday's 137-98 loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, recording zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound.

The rookie second-round pick out of Auburn underwent a successful partial meniscectomy on his right knee Feb. 28 and was sidelined for about seven weeks before being cleared to play in advance of the 76ers' first-round playoff matchup with the Celtics. He didn't make any appearances during Philadelphia's seven-game series victory, but after Monday's series opener with the Knicks devolved into a blowout in the second half, Broome was able to make his postseason debut in garbage time. Broome will continue to be held out of Philadelphia's rotation in more competitive contests for the duration of the 76ers' playoff run.

  • Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Seals Game 1 with clutch quarter

Edwards (knee) posted 18 points (8-13 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one block in 25 minutes off the bench Monday in the Timberwolves' 104-102 win over the Spurs in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

After hyperextending his left knee and sustaining a bone bruise in Game 4 of the first round, Edwards missed the final two games of the Timberwolves' series victory over the Nuggets and was also expected to remain sidelined for at least the first two games of the second round. The star guard ended up making quicker progress than expected, however, and after the Timberwolves listed him as questionable heading into Monday's contest, Edwards was given the green light to play prior to tipoff. In an effort to manage his minutes, the Timberwolves brought Edwards off the bench, and the 24-year-old was able to provide some efficient complementary scoring behind Julius Randle's team-high 21 points. Edwards was at his best in the final period, pouring in 11 of his points in the fourth to help Minnesota secure the upset win on the road. Assuming he didn't aggravate the knee injury, Edwards could move back into the starting five and take on more minutes in Game 2 on Wednesday.

  • Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Makes history in Game 1 loss

Wembanyama supplied 11 points (5-17 FG, 0-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds, 12 blocks and five assists across 40 minutes in Monday's 104-102 loss to Minnesota in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Wembanyama made history on the defensive end, setting a playoff record for blocks in a single game in the play-by-play era. However, the star big man had a disastrous night offensively, particularly from beyond the arc. Still, the 22-year-old grabbed a game-best 15 rebounds, securing his third straight game with a double-double or better. He'll aim to bounce back on the offensive end in Game 2 on Wednesday.

  • Julius Randle PF | MIN

Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Paces Minnesota in Game 1 win

Randle recorded 21 points (8-20 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-6 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 41 minutes in Monday's 104-102 win over the Spurs in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Randle didn't deliver his most efficient performance, though he still led all players in scoring with Anthony Edwards on a minutes restriction. Randle also tied the team high in rebounds, securing his first double-double since March 3. The veteran forward and the Timberwolves will now look to take a 2-0 series lead in Wednesday's Game 2 in San Antonio.

  • Joel Embiid C | PHI

76ers' Joel Embiid: Shooting woes in Game 1 defeat

Embiid finished Monday's 137-98 loss to New York in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 14 points (3-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-9 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 25 minutes.

Embiid had a productive night at the charity stripe but struggled mightily from the field. After posting back-to-back double-doubles to close out the first round against Boston, the star big man couldn't carry that momentum into this one. While he still finished as Philadelphia's second-leading scorer, his struggles from beyond the arc continued -- he is shooting just 13.6 percent from deep in five postseason games. Embiid and the Sixers will look to steal a game at Madison Square Garden in Game 2 on Wednesday.

  • Tyrese Maxey PG | PHI

76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Struggles in Game 1 loss

Maxey registered 13 points (3-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 7-7 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 27 minutes during Monday's 137-98 loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

After posting a 30-point, 11-rebound double-double in Saturday's Game 7 win over Boston in the first round, Maxey cooled off Monday. The star point guard struggled to find a rhythm on the offensive end, failing to reach the 20-point threshold for the first time this postseason. He was one of five Philadelphia players to score in double figures, though none had more than 17. Maxey will look to bounce back in Game 2 on Wednesday.

  • Josh Hart SF | NY

Knicks' Josh Hart: Well-rounded effort in Game 1 win

Hart chipped in eight points (3-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block over 26 minutes during Monday's 137-98 victory over the 76ers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Hart didn't have his most efficient shooting night, though he provided a well-rounded performance while playing just three quarters. The veteran wing finished second on the Knicks in rebounds and also tied the team-high mark in assists. Additionally, he led all players in steals after logging zero swipes in the previous two games. Hart and the Knicks will now look to take a 2-0 series lead in Game 2 on Wednesday.

  • Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Stuffs stat sheet in limited run

Towns tallied 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt), six rebounds, six assists and two blocks across 20 minutes in Monday's 137-98 win over the 76ers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Towns picked up two fouls in the opening quarter and logged just five minutes during the period. However, he stuffed the stat sheet over the next two quarters before sitting out the fourth. The star big man tied the team highs in assists and blocks while finishing third in rebounds, and he matched the team-best mark in triples made as well. Towns continues to produce across the board and will look to keep it up in Game 2 on Wednesday.

  • OG Anunoby SF | NY

Knicks' OG Anunoby: Strikes for 18 points in Game 1 win

Anunoby amassed 18 points (7-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block in 30 minutes during Monday's 137-98 win over the 76ers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Anunoby needed only seven field-goal attempts to record 18 points in this blowout win, finishing as New York's second-leading scorer while playing just three quarters. The 28-year-old forward has been on a tear of late, scoring 17-plus points in five straight games while chipping in at least one block in each of the last six. He'll look to stay productive on both ends of the floor as the Knicks aim to take a 2-0 series lead in Game 2 on Wednesday.
