I don't really want to start Goff in Week 3 in a low-scoring game against the Dolphins, but he's at Detroit in Week 4 and could be a top-12 option if the offense looks as good as it did in Week 2. Smith is completing 73.9% of his passes so far this season despite the fact that his intended air yards per attempt are up 10% over 2023.

Smith has scored 19.8 and 19.9 Fantasy points in two games against Denver and New England this season, but it feels like bigger outings are coming. He's playing well in Ryan Grubb's new offense in Seattle, and Smith should be considered a low-end starter in Week 3 against Miami. He's worth adding for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

Smith completed 33 of 44 passes for 327 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 23-20 overtime win over New England. He added five rushes for eight yards. Smith saw some additional volume thanks to overtime, but he was asked to take to the air more than in Week 1. He responded with a strong performance, highlighted by a 56-yard touchdown to DK Metcalf late in the first quarter while also showing strong rapport with Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The downside to his performance was that he found the end zone only once, but it was an encouraging performance heading into a Week 3 matchup against Miami.

Smith did OK in Week 1 with 19.8 Fantasy points against Denver, and I expect him to be OK at best in Week 2 at New England. I would only start him in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues this week. The Patriots just held Joe Burrow to 8.1 Fantasy points in Week 1, and this New England defense might be better than we thought. It was a long time ago, and Smith is a different quarterback since then, but his last two trips into Gillette Stadium in 2013 and 2014 with the Jets resulted in a combined 440 passing yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.

Smith was good, not great, in Week 1 against Denver with 19.8 Fantasy points, but I'm expecting him to improve moving forward in Seattle's new offense. He might have another mediocre performance in Week 2 at New England, but Smith could emerge as a starter in all leagues as the season goes on. He's worth up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.
