Dupree (back) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Cowboys. Dupree was back to limited participation in practice Friday after not practicing Thursday. The 32-year-old is recovering from a back injury suffered in the Chargers' Week 15 win over the Chiefs. The 10th-year veteran has contributed 16 tackles (nine solo), including 2.0 sacks, and one pass breakup through 14 games this season and has a chance to add to his totals should he be available Sunday.

Dupree (back) did not practice Thursday. Dupree was limited in Wednesday's practice, so it's possible his lack of practice activity Thursday represents a setback in his recovery. The veteran linebacker is nursing a back injury he appears to have sustained during Week 15's win over the Chiefs. Unless Dupree is able to get back on the field in at least a limited fashion Friday, he'll be in danger of missing Sunday's road matchup against the Cowboys.

Dupree may have suffered a back injury in the team's 16-13 win over the Chiefs in Week 15, forcing him to be limited to open the week at practice. The linebacker will have two more chances to return to practice prior to Sunday's matchup with the Cowboys.

The Chargers signed Dupree to a one-year contract extension Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The deal is worth up to $6 million. Dupree is now signed through the 2026 campaign, and the 32-year-old is coming off a 2024 in which he appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Chargers. Dupree finished the year with 28 tackles (18 solo), including 6.0 sacks, two pass breakups and one forced fumble.

Dupree reached 6.0 sacks for the fifth time and has notched at least 4.0 sacks in nine of 10 NFL regular seasons. He also suited up for the Chargers' 32-12 playoff loss to the Texans in the wild-card round but didn't contribute any meaningful statistics. Dupree remains under contract at a $3.64 million cap hit for his age-32 season in 2025.
