  • Diggs caught four of six targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 19-13 win over the Bears. Going back to last season with the Bills, Diggs has just 633 receiving yards in his last 13 regular-season games. He papered over a 33-yard Texans debut with two touchdown catches, but Diggs barely raised his yardage total in Week 2 while failing to score. Diggs is clearly behind Nico Collins (252 receiving yards through two games) in the wide receiver pecking order heading into a Week 3 road game in Minnesota, where Diggs began his career from 2015 to 2019.

  • Diggs caught all six of his targets for 33 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 29-27 win over the Colts. He added six rushing yards on one carry. While Nico Collins remained the top downfield option for C.J. Stroud, Diggs made an immediate impact as a red-zone threat in his debut for the Texans. The former Bill put his new team in the lead for good with a nine-yard score early in the second quarter, then hauled in Houston's final TD of the afternoon with a three-yard grab late in the fourth. Diggs scored at least eight touchdowns in all four of his seasons with Buffalo and has reached that mark six times in total during his career, and it looks like he'll have no trouble doing it again with the Texans in 2024. Diggs will make his home debut for Houston in Week 2 against the Bears.

  • Texans' Stefon Diggs: WRs to Start
    By Jamey Eisenberg

Nico Collins is an obvious start this week, and he destroyed the Colts in 2023 with 16 catches, 341 yards and two touchdowns in two games. Tank Dell also beat up the Colts in his lone appearance against them with seven catches for 72 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. You can start all three Houston receivers in this matchup, and Diggs should have a solid debut in this AFC South rivalry. I expect the Texans to show off their new toy, and Diggs should be able to exploit the Indianapolis secondary on the perimeter.

  • Diggs caught his only target for nine yards in Saturday's 28-10 preseason win over the Giants. He also gained two rushing yards on one carry. The Texans' first-team offense was only on the field for two possessions and came away with zero points, but Diggs was still able to build on his rapport with C.J. Stroud. Houston played both series in 12 personnel, with Diggs and Nico Collins being the two starting wideouts, and that appears as though it might be the team's base package during the regular season. Diggs is coming off a four-year run in Buffalo during which he caught more than 100 passes and topped 1,100 receiving yards in each season, but the 30-year-old will have a lot more competition for targets in Houston.

  • Diggs wasn't targeted in Friday's 20-12 preseason win over the Steelers. Diggs made his Texans debut as Houston's top offensive starters mixed in for two drives after sitting out the Hall of Fame Game last week. Neither Diggs nor Nico Collins were targeted in this game, while QB C.J. Stroud linked up with Tank Dell for a 34-yard touchdown. All three of Diggs, Collins and Dell figure to play significant roles in Houston's receiving corps come the regular season, but they may continue to be eased in during Houston's next preseason game against the Giants on Aug. 17.
