Billings suffered a pectoral injury in the Bears' Week 9 loss to the Cardinals and underwent successful surgery earlier Thursday, according to Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com. The 29-year-old defensive tackle is without a clear timeline for a return to game action, but he'll have to miss at least four contests after being placed on IR.

Billings recorded 27 tackles over 17 games in his first season with the Bears and will likely continue in a part-time role in 2024. Billings played between 25 and 35 snaps in all but four games. There were only three occasions in which the veteran surpassed two tackles. With second-year players Gervon Dexter and Zacch Pickens possibly taking a step forward, it's possible that Billings could see a slight dip in snaps. That would make the low-floor IDP value of Billings even lower.

Billings notched two tackles in the Bears' 17-9 loss to the Packers on Sunday. Playing on the fourth team in his six-year career, Billings had one of his least productive seasons by recording 27 tackles over 17 games. The veteran defensive tackle is signed through 2025, but he'll go into 2024 as a low-upside IDP.
