Wren suffered a serious quadriceps injury during Monday's practice, Tyler Dragon of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. The Bengals reportedly fear that Wren will be required to miss the entire 2020 campaign, though the 2019 fourth-round pick is seeking a second medical opinion. The 24-year-old was expected to take a step forward in the defensive tackle rotation after having notched eight tackles as a rookie.

Wren (undisclosed) was activated from the active/non-football injury list Thursday, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports. Although the injury was undisclosed, Wren will now be able to join his teammates as they begin to ramp up training camp practices. The 2019 fourth-round selection will compete for a depth role on the defensive line, which got even more competitive earlier this week with the signing of veteran Mike Daniels.
