  • Keelan Doss: Reaches injury settlement
    By RotoWire

The Raiders released Doss (undisclosed) from IR with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Doss will be free to sign elsewhere in the league, once healthy. The 28-year-old wideout suited up for five games with the Chargers last season, during which he secured six of 13 targets for 33 yards.

  • The Raiders placed Doss (undisclosed) on injured reserve Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log. It's unclear what is ailing Doss, but it caused him to miss Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings. The 28-year-old wide receiver will be forced to miss the entire 2024 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with Las Vegas.

  • The Raiders signed Doss to a contract Wednesday. Doss has spent much of the last three years on the practice squads of multiple teams, though he did appear in five regular-season games with the Chargers in 2023, registering six catches on 13 targets for 33 yards. He will join the Raiders' 90-man training camp roster in hopes of securing a spot on the wide receiver depth chart following the retirement of Michael Gallup.

  • Doss caught one of his five targets for eight yards in the 13-12 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday. Doss had been on the Chargers' practice squad for a few years, and the 27-year-old finally got a chance to play thanks to injuries to Mike Williams (knee), Joshua Palmer (knee) and Keenan Allen (heel). It's entirely possible the wideout, who made his NFL debut in 2019, enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent.

  • Doss caught five of his eight targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 16-9 loss to the Broncos. With Keenan Allen (heel) and Joshua Palmer (concussion) sidelined, Doss found a prominent role in a passing attack that struggled to create chunk plays. Despite the health of 2023 first-round pick Quentin Johnston, both Alex Erickson and Doss, two practice-squad castoffs at various points this season, combined to represent easily Easton Stick's two favorite targets. It remains to be seen if the aforementioned injured targets will play in the team's finale next week.
