Williams was signed to the Panthers' active roster from the practice squad Tuesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. Williams has appeared in two games with Carolina this season, recording two total tackles (one solo). He'll provide the team with an additional depth option on the defensive line against the Falcons on Sunday.

WIlliams suffered a knee injury during Sunday's game against the Chargers. Prior to his exit in the second half, Williams had yet to make a mark in the box score. As long as Williams is sidelined, Matt Henningsen and Elijah Garcia should experience some extra run along the Broncos defensive line.

Williams totaled three tackles, three quarterback hits and two sacks during Sunday's 20-13 win over Miami. Williams and the Broncos' front put Tua Tagovailoa in a bind Sunday with a barrage of twists and stunts, leading to the first two sacks of Williams' season. Though he's faced a long and winding road to the starting lineup, Williams has made the most of Mike Purcell's season-ending foot injury. He'll be relied on Sunday to push the pocket against Taysom Hill, who can be difficult to rush from the edge.

Williams (ankle) was added to the injury report Friday and is considered questionable for Sunday's game versus the Dolphins, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. It remains to be seen how serious Williams' injury is, but it's never a good sign to get hurt just two days before a game. He was still listed as a limited participant in Friday's session. If Williams misses Week 11, Sylvester Williams and McTelvin Agim will rotate in at nose tackle.
