Seibert made all seven field-goal attempts in Sunday's 21-18 win over the Giants. Seibert just joined the Commanders on Tuesday after the team decided to cut Cade York. He made the decision pay off in Week 2, making himself responsible for every point put on the board in their divisional win. The Oklahoma product hit six field goals from 33 yards out or less, including the game-winner from 30 yards out as time was expiring to seal the victory. His long for the day was from 45 yards. Next up for Seibert and Washington are the Bengals on MNF in Week 3.

Seibert signed a contract with the Commanders on Tuesday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports. Seibert will take over as Washington's new kicker beginning with Sunday's game versus the Giants in the wake of the Commanders cutting Cade York, who missed 47- and 56-yard field goal attempts in the team's Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers. Since entering the NFL in 2019, Seibert has bounced around between five organizations and has appeared in 31 career games while converting 45 of 56 field-goal attempts (80.4 percent) and 56 of 62 extra-point tries (90.3 percent).

Seibert is expected to sign with the Commanders after the team cut Cade York on Monday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports. Seibert was cut by the Jets during training camp and appears to be in line to receive another opportunity, this time in Washington. However, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports that head coach Dan Quinn stated more clarity on the kicker position will come on Wednesday. It's not clear if that is when Seibert will sign, and if he will be given a spot on the 53-man roster or the practice squad. It's also possible that the Commanders may bring in other competition before settling on a new kicker after York's departure.

The Jets released Seibert on Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports. Seibert inked a reserve/future contract with New York in January after logging two separate stints with the organization last season. He kicked in only one game during the campaign, making his lone field-goal try (from 34 yards) and his only extra-point attempt Week 2 versus Dallas. Seibert has played for four different teams during his career and hasn't appeared in more than six regular-season contests since working as Cleveland's primary kicker as a rookie in 2019.

The Jets signed Seibert to a reserve/future contract Monday. Seibert started the season on the Jets' practice squad. He was called up for Week 2 against the Cowboys with Greg Zuerlein ruled out with a groin injury, and Seibert made his only field-goal attempt from 34 yards and coverted his lone PAT attempt. He was briefly on the Saints' practice squad before returning to New York to end the year. Seibert will have the opportunity to compete for the Jets' kicking duties in 2024.
