  • Jackson registered three solo tackles and a pass defense during Friday's 27-21 win over the Chiefs. Jackson made a critical pass deflection on a Patrick Mahomes' pass to Hollywood Brown late in the second quarter, which forced the Chiefs to settle for a 59-yard field goal two plays later. Jackson played 45 of 61 defensive snaps Friday, which was more than fellow starter Cam Hart (39). Next up for Jackson and the Chargers is a second-straight AFC West bout against the Raiders on Monday, Sept. 15.

  • Jackson has agreed to a two-year, $13 million deal with the Chargers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The LSU product is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, recording 38 total tackles and eight passes defended, including a career-high five interceptions, over 15 regular-season games with the Steelers in 2024. With Jackson now in Los Angeles, he's expected to start as one of the team's top outside cornerbacks in 2025.

  • Jackson (back) is inactive for Saturday's game against the Ravens, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Jackson will miss a game for the first time this season due to a pinched nerve he suffered in the Week 15 loss to the Eagles. He won't have much time to heal before Pittsburgh's next game against the Chiefs on Christmas. Cory Trice or James Pierre could see action at outside cornerback in Jackson's absence.
