Lock completed 22 of 39 passes for 210 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in Sunday's 34-7 loss to the Falcons. He also gained one yard on his only carry and lost a fumble. It was a simply brutal performance from Lock, as both his INTs turned into pick-sixes -- Jessie Bates took the first one 55 yards for the score that put Atlanta up for good in the second quarter, before Matthew Judon piled on in the third quarter with a 27-yard TD return. Lock did throw his first touchdown pass of the season, a two-yard connection with Tyrone Tracy, but it was small consolation. The Giants may have little choice but to turn back to Tommy DeVito at quarterback in Week 17 against the Colts.

Lock (heel/left elbow) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game in Atlanta. Coach Brian Daboll told Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com on Wednesday that Lock was set to regain the Giants' starting quarterback job for Week 16 after serving as the emergency third QB behind Tommy DeVito and Tim Boyle in a Week 15 loss to the Ravens. Lock followed up Wednesday's limited session with back-to-back full practices this week, thereby locking him in to another start. Meanwhile, DeVito, who suffered a concussion against Baltimore, cleared concussion protocol Friday and will settle into the No. 2 role this weekend, per Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post. While operating as the starter Weeks 13 and 14, Lock completed 42 of 81 passes (51.9 percent) for 405 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions, adding nine carries for 116 yards and one TD along with a lost fumble.

Lock (heel/elbow) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Lock, who was limited in practice Wednesday and missed the Giants' Week 15 loss to the Ravens, now seems fully on track for Sunday's road matchup against the Falcons. Head coach Brian Daboll has already announced that, if available, Lock will start versus Atlanta on Sunday, priming him for matchup against Falcons rookie quarterback Michael Penix. Tommy DeVito (concussion) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday and seems to be trending in the right direction for Week 16, meaning he could be available as Lock's backup.

Lock (heel/left elbow) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports. Lock missed the Giants' Week 15 loss to the Ravens due to a sore heel and a left elbow injury, which kept him off the practice field in advance of that contest. Prior to getting back on the field Wednesday, Lock was effectively named the Giants' starting quarterback for Week 16, with head coach Brian Daboll telling Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com that the team is planning on Lock being under center Sunday in Atlanta. Meanwhile, Tommy DeVito remains in the concussion protocol and also operated with a cap on his reps Wednesday, meaning Tim Boyle is the healthiest signal-caller on New York's active roster.

Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that Lock (heel/elbow) will practice Wednesday and is expected to start Sunday's game against the Falcons, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports. Lock started for the Giants in losses to the Cowboys and Saints in Weeks 13 and 14, respectively, completing 42 of 81 pass attempts for 405 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions while adding 116 yards and a touchdown on nine carries between those contests. Last Monday, Daboll said that Lock would remain the Giants' starter if healthy, but a sore heel plus a lingering left elbow injury kept him out for this past Sunday's 35-14 loss to the Ravens. Tommy DeVito started that game before exiting with a concussion, resulting in Tim Boyle finishing out the contest. Though DeVito will have a chance at clearing concussion protocol prior to Sunday, the Giants are preparing to go back to Lock under center, provided he's able to make it through the week of practice without any setbacks.
