Homer has played between 20 and 29 percent of the snaps in Chicago's first two games, though he has a total of three touches to start the season. The veteran will need to have more opportunities with the football to raise his fantasy value.

Homer handled two carries for 10 yards in the Bears' 24-17 win over the Titans on Sunday. After failing to handle a single rushing attempt with the Bears in 2023, Homer was part of a three-player running back committee behind starter D'Andre Swift. Unless Homer can separate himself from Khalil Herbert and Velus Jones, it may be difficult for him to see more than a couple touches each week.

Last year, Homer played six offensive snaps, but none of those were after Week 8. However, the veteran played at least 11 snaps on special teams in 15 of 16 games. Homer is in the last year of a contract he signed in 2023 and he should remain a core special-teamer.

Homer could be trending in the right direction to play Sunday, as he's gone from opening Chicago's week of practice with a DNP to logging back-to-back limited sessions Thursday and Friday. If the 25-year-old running back is unable to go in Week 16, the Bears would have a void to fill on special teams, as that's where Homer has played 203 of his 206 total snaps this year.
