Harper (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Seahawks. Harper was claimed off waivers by the Bengals on Sept. 29 after being let go by the Cowboys the day prior. He played 14 snaps on special teams in Week 5 against the Cardinals and had one tackle.

Harper, who was placed on injured reserve last October with an Achilles injury, participated in training camp practice Thursday, K.D. Drummond of Cowboys Wire reports. Harper operated exclusively on special teams last year but played in just three games before landing on injured reserve while dealing with an Achilles injury. Now that he's healthy, Harper will look to resume that special teams role while competing for a depth spot at linebacker.

The Cowboys designated Harper (Achilles) to return from injured reserve Thursday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Harper, who's been on injured reserve with an Achilles injury since Oct. 29, can now resume practicing ahead of Sunday's divisional-round matchup versus the 49ers. The rookie linebacker will have 21 days for a potential activation to Dallas' active roster, though he'd likely operate in a strict special-teams role off the bat.
