• Raiders' Brock Bowers: Fully healthy ahead of camp

  Bowers (knee) practiced "at full speed" during OTAs and minicamp, Ryan McFadden of ESPN reports. Bowers was plagued by a knee injury during most of the 2025 campaign and was ultimately placed on IR for the final two weeks of the regular season. However, he's been able to get back to full health during the offseason and has several other factors working in his favor ahead of the 2026 campaign. First, he'll be working with a pair of new quarterbacks in Kirk Cousins and Fernando Mendoza, and Cousins was reportedly enthralled with Bowers during spring workouts. Second, the Raiders brought in Klint Kubiak -- "who has shown the ability to scheme the ball to his best pass catchers" -- as their new coach. Third, Las Vegas currently has an untested WR room, so Bowers is likely to feature at the team's top pass catcher.

  Bowers (knee) is participating in OTAs this week, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports. Bowers -- who noted Thursday that he's "practicing full speed" -- originally injured his knee in Week 1 against the Patriots last season and dealt with the issue all year, missing Weeks 5-7 before being shut down for Weeks 17 and 18 in a lost campaign for Las Vegas. Bowers -- who remains a top tier fantasy option at the TE position -- appeared in 12 games in his second NFL season and finished with 64 catches for 680 yards and seven touchdowns on 86 targets. He'll now be catching passes from Kirk Cousins and No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza this summer, as the two quarterbacks are in a competition for the Week 1 job.

  The Raiders placed Bowers (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday. Bowers kicked off his second pro campaign by suffering a knee injury Week 1, and while he eventually sat out Weeks 5-7, he surpassed 100 receiving yards only one more time through Week 16. Now that his season is officially over, he'll finish it with a 64-680-7 line on 86 targets in 12 contests. Bowers will yield TE reps to Michael Mayer, Ian Thomas and Carter Runyon for the final two games.

  I wouldn't be surprised if half of the entries in a given contest have Trey McBride or Harold Fannin rostered. And I don't really advise fading them. But if you want to get cute, I would play Brock Bowers. Bowers has averaged over 16 points per game since returning from his knee injury, and his team has their highest implied total in a month against the Giants. It could be another two-touchdown game at a very low roster rate.

  Bowers brought in six of eight targets for 28 yards in the Raiders' 31-0 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. Bowers led the Raiders in receptions, targets and even receiving yards on an afternoon during which Kenny Pickett netted just 64 yards on his 15 completions. The talented tight end's production has been capped to an extent this season due to Las Vegas' suboptimal quarterback situation, but Bowers will still head into a tough Week 16 road matchup against the Texans next Sunday afternoon with at least four receptions in five consecutive games.
