DeJean also played on more than 80 percent of the defensive snaps for the sixth time in seven games since entering the starting lineup for Philadelphia's Week 6 matchup with Cleveland. DeJean was on the field for a season-high 52 snaps on defense, and he combined with Bryce Huff for a 15-yard sack on Deshaun Watson midway through the first quarter. DeJean and the Eagles' defense will travel to MetLife Stadium to take on Daniel Jones and the Giants on Oct. 20.

DeJean is set to start for Avonte Maddox as the Eagles' nickel corner Sunday against the Browns, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports. The Eagles' defense hasn't lived up to expectations early this season, and some changes have ensued. In addition to Devin White being released, DeJean will now start as the team's slot corner. DeJean has played only seven defensive snaps so far in his rookie season, so he could have some growing pains early on.
