  Harris (Achilles) plans to meet with the Raiders next Thursday, April 2, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Harris met with Seattle on Wednesday -- his first reported visit of free agency. He's six months removed from the Achilles tear that ended his 2025 campaign in Week 3, with not much hope of returning to Los Angeles after the Chargers signed Keaton Mitchell. The Seahawks might offer Harris an opportunity to compete for a starting job, whereas he'd merely provide depth behind Ashton Jeanty in Las Vegas. Regardless of where he signs, the 28-year-old Harris will face a difficult path back to fantasy relevance, rehabbing from an injury that's notoriously tough on running backs.

  Harris (Achilles) is slated to visit Seattle on Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Harris is roughly six months removed from suffering a torn left Achilles that preemptively ended his 2025 campaign with the Chargers in Week 3, and agent Doug Hendrickson shared a video via his personal social media accounts on Monday of the 28-year-old running back looking well while sprinting on a treadmill. The Seahawks would make for an enticing landing spot for Harris, as the team lost Kenneth Walker to the Chiefs in free agency and Zach Charbonnet (knee) is recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL undergone in February. As such, free-agency signee Emanuel Wilson and George Holani represent the top competition for offseason backfield reps in Seattle. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Harris also has a visit lined up with the Raiders, where a clear need for depth behind Ashton Jeanty exists.

• Chargers' Najee Harris: Progresses to running

  Harris has progressed to running at 15 mph on a treadmill in his recovery from a torn Achilles, agent Doug Hendrickson announced Monday on X. In a video posted by Hendrickson, Harris is shown running with relative ease five months after suffering the injury that ended his 2025 season back in Week 3. Harris played last season on a one-year, $5.25 million deal, so he's again set to become a free agent next month. Prior to 2025, Harris had never missed a single at the NFL level. He turns 28 years old in two weeks.

  The Chargers placed Harris (Achilles) on IR on Wednesday. Coach John Harbaugh confirmed Monday that Harris suffered a torn Achilles during this past Sunday's win over the Broncos, and the running back will miss the remainder of the season as a result. In his absence going forward, Omarion Hampton is in line to lead the Chargers backfield, with Hassan Haskins in reserve and Kimani Vidal as well as Amar Johnson representing possible additions via the team's practice squad.
