Shampklin carried once for minus-2 yards in Sunday's 32-13 win over the Raiders. With teammate Jaylen Warren (knee) returning from a two-game absence, Shampklin played just four of the Steelers' 63 offensive snaps Sunday as the team's No. 3 back. In three games, the 24-year-old Harvard product has carried six times for 17 yards. He'll remain off the fantasy radar and could even find himself inactive for the Steelers' Week 7 game against the Jets if Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) is able to put an end to his two-game absence.

Shampklin rushed four times for 14 yards during Sunday's 20-17 loss to Dallas. Shampklin was elevated to the Steelers' 53-man roster ahead of Sunday's primetime matchup since Jaylen Warren (knee) and Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) were unavailable. However, Shampklin played just 11 offensive snaps and didn't generate much production. He'll likely remain on the practice squad in Week 6 if Warren or Patterson are cleared to return.

Shampklin was promoted to the 53-man roster from the Steelers' practice squad Wednesday. Shampklin will receive a chance with the active roster due to Jaylen Warren (knee) and Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) tending to injuries that currently have them listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. The Harvard product was elevated for Week 4 and saw 12 snaps on offense against the Colts, which included one five-yard carry. If Warren and Patterson miss Week 5, Shampklin will be the Steelers' No. 2 man in the backfield behind Najee Harris.

The running back was elevated to the active roster with Jaylen Warren (knee) out and played on 13 of 70 offensive snaps, behind Najee Harris' 48 but ahead of Cordarrelle Patterson's nine, though Patterson suffered an ankle injury during the game. Shampklin carried the ball once for five yards.

The Steelers elevated Shampklin to their active roster Saturday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports. The Harvard product could be in line to make his NFL debut Sunday. Expect Shampklin to serve as a depth piece in Pittsburgh's running back room while also contributing on special teams in Week 4, if he suits up.
