Kmet pulled in four of five passes for 27 yards in Sunday's 19-13 loss to Houston. Kmet's four-catch night was a step forward after he recored just one reception in the Bears' season-opening win over Tennessee. The starting tight end's production still left much to be desired from a fantasy perspective. Veteran backup Gerald Everett (three targets) continues to eat into Kmet's fantasy upside as the team prepares to face Indianapolis on Sunday.

Kmet could benefit if one or both of Rome Odunze (knee) or Keenan Allen (heel) are out, but I still can't trust Kmet as a starter in most Fantasy leagues in Week 2 at Houston. In Week 1 against Tennessee, Kmet only had one catch for 4 yards on one target, and Caleb Williams also struggled, passing for fewer than 100 yards. It would be great if Kmet saw a spike in targets if anyone is missing for Chicago's receivers, but I need to see him produce at a high level first before trusting him in most leagues.

Kmet caught his only target for four yards in the Bears' 24-17 win over the Titans on Sunday. Caleb Williams threw 25 of 29 passes to his top-four wide receivers, so there were very few targets left for other Chicago players. Also, with Kmet sharing the field with fellow tight end Gerald Everett, who also had one target, it seems unlikely that Kmet will match the 84 targets he's averaged over the last three seasons.

If the preseason was any indication then Kmet's Fantasy value this season could be in trouble. He was sharing playing time with new addition Gerald Everett, which could continue all season in Shane Waldron's offense, and the Bears loaded up their receiving corps with Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze coming to Chicago. The Titans also upgraded their secondary this offseason, and Kmet isn't worth starting in most leagues in Week 1.

Kmet caught his lone target for nine yards in Saturday's 27-3 preseason win over Cincinnati. Kmet and Gerald Everett rotated on the first-team offense for a second straight week, with the latter catching two of four targets for 10 yards in Saturday's win. Everett's involvement -- after signing a two-year, $12 million contract -- creates reasonable concerns about Kmet not matching his robust snap shares from the past three seasons, but Kmet could still take the lion's share of playing time once the games actually matter.
