• Browns' Dylan Sampson: Not practicing again

  Sampson (hand/calf) is not participating in Thursday's practice, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. Sampson appears to be trending toward a second consecutive absence, which would position Trayveon Williams to again handle the No. 2 RB role behind Quinshon Judkins, while Raheim Sanders is on hand for reserve duties. Sampson will have one final chance to get back on the practice field Friday, at which point the Browns will decide his initial injury designation for Sunday's game against the Bills.

  Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Sampson (hand/calf) is not in line to practice Wednesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. Sampson did not practice in any capacity prior to being ruled out for Cleveland's loss to the Bears in Week 15, his first missed game of the season. He'll have two more chances to get back on the practice field prior to Sunday's matchup against the Bills, though it's worth noting that Stefanski said all of the Browns' injured players are "trending in the right direction," per Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal. When healthy, Sampson will resume handling a change-of-pace role behind Quinshon Judkins.

Sampson will miss back-to-back practices to begin Week 15, making his availability for Sunday's road matchup against the Bears look legitimately uncertain. Raheim Sanders and Trayveon Williams will be candidates to handle increased complementary roles behind starting running back Quinshon Judkins if Sampson is unable to play Sunday.

  Sampson has played two full games with Shedeur Sanders, and Sampson has scored at least 9.8 PPR points in both of those outings. In Week 14 against Tennessee, Sampson had two carries for 4 yards and five catches for 64 yards on six targets. He should continue to play in tandem with Quinshon Judkins, and Sampson will remain productive in the passing game since he also had two catches for 59 yards and a touchdown on three targets in Sanders' first start at Las Vegas. Sampson has favorable matchups ahead against the Bears in Week 15 and Buffalo in Week 16, and he's worth adding for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.
