  • Broncos' Blake Watson: Set to be let go
    By RotoWire

Watson (knee) is in line to be waived after reaching an injury settlement with the Broncos, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. Watson suffered a PCL strain in the team's preseason finale against the Saints on Saturday, and he will now be let go instead of being placed on injured reserve. The running back will rehab the injury and attempt to pass a physical and sign elsewhere in 2025.

The Memphis product could be elevated again for the Broncos' Week 17 matchup against the Bengals if Jaleel McLaughlin (quadriceps) is sidelined for the second consecutive game.

  • The Broncos elevated Watson from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Thursday night's game against the Chargers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. It's the second time Watson has been elevated from the practice squad this season. The first instance was in Week 5 against the Raiders, and he finished that game with two snaps (one on offense, one on special teams), but didn't otherwise show up on the box score. Watson will serve as Denver's No. 3 running back Thursday behind Javonte Williams and Audric Estime due to Jaleel McLaughlin being ruled out with a quadriceps injury.
