McCormick reverted to the Raiders' practice squad Monday. McCormick got a chance with the active roster in Sunday's loss to the Broncos due to Zamir White (groin) being out of action. However, the UTSA product didn't see a single snap on offense and only contributed on special teams.

The Raiders elevated McCormick from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday. McCormick has been with the Raiders' organization since signing as an undrafted free agent in May of 2022. He has spent his entire NFL tenure on Las Vegas' practice squad, and Saturday is the first time he has been elevated to the active roster. With Zamir White (groin) ruled out for Sunday's game against the Broncos, McCormick will, if active, serve as the No. 4 running back behind Alexander Mattison, Ameer Abdullah and Dylan Laube.

Las Vegas signed McCormick to the practice squad Wednesday. McCormick finished the preseason with 17 carries for 60 yards while adding five catches for 18 yards. He spent all of 2023 season on the Raiders' practice squad, and he will reprise that role for 2024. McCormick should be called up to the active roster if Zamir White, Alexander Mattison, Dylan Laube or Ameer Abdullah miss time.

Las Vegas waived McCormick on Tuesday, per the team's official site. McCormick led the Raiders with 60 yards during the preseason slate, but he needed 17 carries to get to that total. The 23-year-old also caught five of six passes for 18 yards. McCormick spent 2022 on IR and was on Las Vegas' practice squad all of last season. He could end up back on the team's practice squad to begin 2024 if he clears waivers.

The Raiders signed McCormick to a reserve/future contract on Monday. McCormick failed to make the Raiders' 53-man roster after training camp, but he did sign with the team's practice squad Aug. 30. He didn't make an appearance this season, but he'll spend the offseason working and competing for a roster spot with Las Vegas for 2024.
