  Huntley completed 17 of 22 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown and added 53 rushing yards on eight carries in Sunday's 30-16 win over the Bears. Facing a Chicago defense missing all three of its starting cornerbacks, Huntley had little trouble finding whatever receivers he wanted, including backup tight end Charlie Kolar for a 10-yard TD in the fourth quarter, while still getting a healthy cut of Baltimore's ground-heavy game plan. It's unclear whether Lamar Jackson (hamstring) will be able to return in Week 9, but if Huntley is under center again, he'll be taking on a Dolphins defense that's been vulnerable this season, although it'll be coming off a strong performance against Kirk Cousins and the Falcons.

  Huntley will serve as the Ravens' starting quarterback against the Bears on Sunday after Lamar Jackson (hamstring) was ruled out, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network relayed Saturday morning that Jackson's work with the scout team during Friday's practice indicated that he wouldn't be ready to return from a hamstring injury for Week 8. Jackson's practice participation Friday was downgraded from full to limited, and now that he's been officially ruled out, Huntley will get the start while Cooper Rush serves as the QB2. With Huntley under center, the Ravens may lean more heavily on Derrick Henry and Justice Hill to establish the running game.

  In the event that Lamar Jackson (hamstring) is unable to play Sunday against the Bears, coach John Harbaugh noted Friday that Huntley would get the starting nod over Cooper Rush. Harbaugh described Jackson as a full practice participant Friday but fell short of declaring that the star QB would play Sunday. In any case, if the Ravens elect to hold Jackson out this weekend, Rush isn't in consideration to fill in, after having gone 0-2 while subbing in for the 1-5 team. Huntley thus represents an option for those who roster Jackson and don't already have a contingency plan.

• Tyler Huntley: Returns to practice squad

  Huntley reverted to the Ravens' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log. Huntley appeared in Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Rams, completing 10 of 15 passes for 68 yards. The quarterback also added 39 rushing yards on three rushes in the contest. Huntley replaced Cooper Rush in the fourth quarter, which appeared to be a benching of the latter, but head coach John Harbaugh clarified that the team planned to use both quarterbacks in the game, Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan Baltimore reports. With Lamar Jackson (hamstring) expected back following the team's Week 7 bye week, Huntley will likely remain with the practice squad moving forward.

  Huntley completed 10 of 15 passes for 68 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Rams. He added three rushes for 39 yards. Huntley took over for the benched Cooper Rush early in the fourth quarter and led a pair of lengthy drives, each of which stalled deep in Rams territory. While he was far from efficient, Huntley took care of the ball and also showcased some mobility, both of which could give him an advantage to serve as Lamar Jackson's (hamstring) backup in Week 8.
