  Hyatt failed to haul in his lone target while playing four of 68 snaps on offense in Sunday's 29-21 loss to the Commanders. A healthy inactive for the Giants' previous two contests, Hyatt suited up Sunday while New York was without Gunner Olszewski (concussion). Olszewski's absence didn't free up many opportunities on offense for Hyatt, whose six percent snap share placed him fourth among Giants receivers.

  Hyatt (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Monday at New England, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. For a second time this season -- and first time since Week 8 -- Hyatt is a healthy scratch, and this will mark his seventh time overall that he won't log an offensive snap through 13 games. The Giants' available wide receivers for Monday's matchup are Wan'Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton, Isaiah Hodgins, Gunner Olszewski and Dalen Cambre. Hyatt's next chance to suit up follows the team's Week 14 bye on Sunday, Dec. 14 against the Commanders.

  Hyatt was active but did not play in Sunday's loss to Detroit. In Mike Kafka's first game as New York's interim head coach in Week 11 versus Green Bay, Hyatt logged a season-high 62 percent offensive snap share and caught two of four targets for 18 yards. However, that increased usage didn't carry over into Week 12, as Hyatt didn't log a single snap in any capacity. Meanwhile, recent 53-man roster signee Isaiah Hodgins posted a 66 percent offensive snap share, while top WRs Wan'Dale Robinson (83 percent) and Darius Slayton (63 percent) played their usual roles. Perhaps most tellingly for Hyatt's status in the pecking order, special-teams specialist Gunner Olszewski was given eight snaps on offense and rookie undrafted free agent Dalen Cambre got one, suggesting that New York may have decided to phase Hyatt out of the offense altogether moving forward.

  Hyatt caught two of four targets for 18 yards against the Packers in a Week 11 loss Sunday. Hyatt came into Sunday having missed two of the Giants' previous three games, including once as a healthy scratch. In the one contest he did play during that span, he worked exclusively on special teams. However, with Mike Kafka filling in as New York's interim head coach following the dismissal of Brian Daboll, Hyatt logged a season-high 62 percent offensive snap share, third highest among the team's wideouts. That resulted in a season-best 18 receiving yards on a pair of catches, though it has to be mentioned that Jameis Winston's game-sealing interception came on a play during which Hyatt inexplicably stopped his route toward the corner of the end zone. It remains to be seen if that mistake costs Hyatt playing time, and Hyatt's role will likely shrink anyway once Darius Slayton (hamstring) is able to return to action, but for one game at least it appeared the Giants were willing to give the 2023 third-round draft pick a chance to make an impression amidst what has been a hugely disappointing season.

  Hyatt (teeth) logged a full practice session Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. A dental issue caused Hyatt to miss practice Wednesday, but a full session one day later suggests the third-year wideout is doing better. Hyatt was inactive this past Sunday against Philadelphia, though it's not clear if he was a healthy scratch or if his dental issue played a part in that decision. As such, Hyatt's level of playing time -- if he's active at all -- this Sunday against San Francisco could provide more insight about his role on offense moving forward.
