Matthew Wright K | HOU
Matthew Wright: Returns to practice squad
Wright reverted to the Chiefs' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Wright converted both of his field-goal attempts and all five of his PATs after being elevated to Kansas City's active roster in Week 4. The 26-year-old joined the Chiefs' practice squad last Tuesday to serve as the team's backup kicker behind Harrison Butker (ankle), who sat out for the third week in a row Sunday. Wright will now be eligible for two more activations while on Kansas City's practice squad this season.

Wil Lutz K | DEN
Saints' Wil Lutz: Doinks 61-yard attempt
Lutz converted one of his two field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 28-25 loss to the Vikings.
Lutz made all three of his kicking attempts before missing a 61-yard field-goal try on the left upright in the waning seconds of regulation. The 28-year-old did convert a 60-yard field goal to tie the game with just under two minutes left in the fourth quarter. Lutz, who made all but five of his 28 field-goal tries over 16 games in 2020 before missing last season due to injury, and he's now missed four of his eight field-goal attempts while converting all six PATs through four weeks of the 2022 campaign. The Saints offense likely will provide the starting kicker with few easy opportunities should starting quarterback Jameis Winston (back) and wideout Michael Thomas (foot) remain out.

Dustin Hopkins K | CLE
Chargers' Dustin Hopkins: Perfect yet again
Hopkins converted both of his field goals and all four of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's 34-24 win over the Texans.
Save for a 49-yarder back in Week 1, Hopkins has been perfect on both field goals and extra points, but it's Los Angeles' success in terms of red-zone efficiency that has limited the veteran kicker to just six attempts to date. Expect Hopkins to once again see some opportunities in a Week 5 matchup against the Browns.

Jake Elliott K | PHI
Eagles' Jake Elliott: Misses extra point
Elliott made his lone field-goal attempt in Sunday's win over the Jaguars but missed one of his three extra-point tries.
Elliott converted a pair of extra points in the second quarter but missed a third wide right. He later added a 28-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. He's yet to make more than a single field goal in any of the Eagles' four games this season, with the team instead finding the end zone on a regular basis.

Chase McLaughlin K | TB
Colts' Chase McLaughlin: Back to practice squad
McLaughlin reverted to the Colts' practice squad Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
McLaughlin made his third appearance for the Colts on Sunday, missing a 51-yard field-goal attempt, while making both of his PATs and a 27-yard field goal. Since he's been elevated from the practice squad three times already, he'll need to be signed to the active roster if he's going to be the team's kicker Thursday against the Broncos.

Mike Badgley K | BUF
Michael Badgley: Cut from practice squad
Badgley was let go after reverting to the Bears' practice squad Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Badgley made all four of his field-goal attempts after being elevated ahead of Chicago's loss to the Giants on Sunday. The 27-year-old started instead of usual kicker Cairo Santos, who appears ready to return after missing Week 4 due to personal reasons. Badgley converted 18 of his 21 field-goal tries and all 39 of his extra-point attempts over 12 games with Indianapolis last year, and he should provide a reliable option for teams in need of a replacement kicker this season.

Matt Prater K | BUF
Cardinals' Matt Prater: Dealing with soreness
Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday that Prater (hip) is considered day-to-day with general soreness, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Prater was limited due to a hip issue throughout last week's practices before suiting up for Sunday's win over Carolina, and Kingsbury's comments suggest that the injury is still plaguing the kicker. The 38-year-old hasn't missed a regular-season game over the past seven seasons. Through four games in 2022, Prater has converted all six of his field-goal tries and all four of his extra-point attempts.
-
Riley Patterson K | MIA
Jaguars' Riley Patterson: Converts on PATs
Patterson did not attempt a field goal and made all three extra-point attempts during Sunday's 29-21 loss to the Eagles.
Patterson made at least one field goal in each of the first three games of the season, but he was limited to extra-point attempts Sunday with Jacksonville's offense scuffling in the rainy conditions. The 23-year-old has made all 10 PATs and is 7-for-8 on field goals through four contests.
-
Cairo Santos K | CHI
Bears' Cairo Santos: Returns to team
Santos (personal) has returned to the team, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Santos' personal situation is "all squared away," according to head coach Matt Eberflus, which Fishbain notes in his report. The veteran kicker should resume his role moving forward, which will send Michael Badgley to the practice squad, or possibly looking for a new opportunity elsewhere. Badgley filled in admirably, making all four of his field-goal attempts Sunday against the Texans. Santos will be back in action in Week 5 against the Vikings.

Chase McLaughlin K | TB
Colts' Chase McLaughlin: Misses late kick in loss
McLaughlin made one of two field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Titans.
McLaughlin was elevated to the active roster for a third straight week, marking his final promotion before he needs to be signed to the active roster. The veteran kicker got the Colts on the board with a 27-yard field goal in the second quarter, but after making back-to-back PATs, he missed a 51-yard try late in the fourth quarter. Across three games, McLaughlin has gone 3-for-4 on field-goal attempts and made all four of his PATs.
