Tucker signed a four-year extension with the Ravens on Monday.

Tucker had another All-Pro season last year after going 35-for-37 on field-goal attempts, including a perfect 6-for-6 from 50-plus yards. The 33-year-old also set an NFL record by nailing a 66-yard game-winner Week 3 in Detroit. Per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com, Tucker's new contract is worth $6 million per year with $17.5 million guaranteed, which makes him the highest-paid kicker in the league once again after Chris Boswell had recently tied Tucker with a four-year, $20 million deal ($12.5 million guaranteed). Tucker was already under contract for two more years, so his extension will keep him in Baltimore through the 2027 campaign.

Fairbairn has made all field-goal attempts during the special-teams period in camp, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Fairbairn, who had been a constant his first four seasons with Houston, is coming off a down season that saw him dip below 80.0 percent in field-goal accuracy and miss three of 16 extra-point kicks (81%). The Texans were a mess last season, and many players had off years, but the offense is expected to be better in 2022. However, it remains an offense that's not expected to score a lot of touchdowns. As such, Fairbairn could be called on to attempt more field goals than his 19 tries of 2021.

York has made 11-of-12 field-goal attempts in training camp, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

A few of those successful boots were as far out as 53 yards, although when taking into consideration the distance beyond the goal posts, they could have been good from 60-plus. His lone miss was from 58 yards. The 2022 fourth-round pick out of LSU made 54-of-66 for the Tigers, including 21-of-27 as a freshman for the 2019 national championship team. Not since Phil Dawson, who left as a free agent in 2012 after 14 seasons in Cleveland, have interested observers felt this confident in a Browns' placekicker.

Zuerlein (toe) is considered to have an early leg up over Eddy Pineiro for the Jets' starting kicker job, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.

Zuerlein missed Wednesday's practice with a sore toe, but he is not expected to miss much time due to this issue. The 34-year-old went 4-for-4 on field-goal attempts during practice Monday, and his longevity should give him a distinct advantage in the job battle.

Zuerlein's injury doesn't appear to be a serious one, as head coach Robert Saleh expects the kicker to be back on the field by Saturday. The 34-year-old joined the Jets in March on a one-year deal after being cut by the Cowboys.

York was successful on all six field-goal attempts during Monday's practice session, Athony Poisal of the Browns' official site reports.

York has been perfect over two kicking sessions, nailing all 12 attempts, including a 48-yarder Saturday and a 51-yarder Monday that split the uprights.

Boswell agreed to a four-year, $20 million contract extension with the Steelers on Monday, thus tying him with Baltimore's Justin Tucker as the highest-paid kicker in NFL history, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Boswell was entering the final year of his current contract with Pittsburgh, so this new extension should tie him to the team for the next five seasons. The one-time Pro Bowler has been incredibly solid during his seven-year career with the Steelers, converting at least 84 percent of his field-goal attempts every season except for the 2018 campaign. Boswell is just two years removed from hitting a career-long 59-yard field goal, and he is coming off a 2021 season in which he made 36 of his 40 field-goal tries and missed just two extra points. The 31-year-old's new extension includes $12.5 million in guaranteed salary - a mark that also matches Tucker for the highest in NFL history.

Santos enters the season as the Bears' most accurate kicker in franchise history according to the Bears' official site.

Santos is the teams' only kicker on the depth chart this preseason. He's converted 89.1 percent of his field-goal attempts (57 of 64) since joining the team. He's also converted 40 straight field goals, which is not only a team record but the third longest streak in NFL history. Despite his consistent excellence, the Chicago offense has limited him to 62 field-goal attempts over the last two years, which has limited his fantasy scoring potential. Unless the offense makes a significant jump in effectiveness, Santos remains a borderline top-12 kicker.

York made all six field-goal attempts during Saturday's practice, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.

York's longest attempt was from 48 yards -- it would have been good from another 10 yards, per Anthony Poisal of the Browns' official site -- in the first live kicking session of camp. The Browns have high expectations for the fourth-round draft pick and hope he can stabilize the placekicker position after Chase McLaughlin struggled down the stretch in 2021.

Shudak (undisclosed) was placed on the PUP list Saturday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Shudak suffered the undisclosed injury during minicamp in June, and he's still not healthy a month later. The 24-year-old signed with the Titans as a UDFA in May and will serve as competition for Randy Bullock once healthy.
