Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Tuesday that Rodgers is currently not at voluntary OTAs, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.

LaFleur added that he doesn't know if the quarterback will join the team next week or not and stated, "it'll be Rodgers' choice." While the reigning MVP isn't with the team, his current situation seems to be less volatile than the last two offseasons after he signed a four-year extension in March. LaFleur said he talked to the QB on Monday about tweaks to the offense and said Rodgers was in "good spirits," so it appears he is still heavily involved in the game plan even while he's away from the team.

Tagovailoa was sent home during Tuesday's voluntary OTA practice due to a non-COVID illness, Adam H. Beasley of Pro Football Network reports.

It sounds like the quarterback tried to give it a go, but there's no reason to push him or risk spreading the illness around at this point in the offseason. New Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel has made it clear that Tagovailoa will be his starter Week 1, though he could certainly face pressure from Teddy Bridgewater if he struggles out of the gate. Regardless, Miami's offseason is expected to look completely different this year with McDaniel at the helm and a litany of new offensive weapons at his disposal.

Stafford didn't throw during Los Angeles' voluntary OTAs on Monday due to the inflammatory injection he received in his elbow this offseason, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

Stafford said in mid-April -- less than six weeks after the injection -- that his arm was feeling great, but he'll continue to play it safe during the offseason to avoid any potential setbacks. Coach Sean McVay said the quarterback likely won't throw at all during OTAs, but he expects him to ramp things up for the start of training camp in July, per Kevin Modesti of the Los Angeles Daily News.

Coach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday that he expects Murray to be present for mandatory minicamp, Tyler Dragon of USA Today reports.

Murray currently isn't present for Arizona's voluntary OTAs, which started Monday. The quarterback remains away from the team as he seeks a contract extension after a tough end to last season. Arizona picked up the fifth-year option on Murray's rookie contract in April, but he's made it clear he's dissatisfied with his current contract situation, with Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reporting the quarterback could be unwilling to suit up for Week 1 without a new deal. Fowler's report and Kingsbury's comments appear to contradict each other, so whether Murray is present or not at Arizona's mandatory minicamp, which starts in mid-June, may go a long way in determining what the Cardinals' quarterback situation may look like heading into the regular season.

Mayfield (shoulder) won't attend the Browns' voluntary OTAs on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

As expected, Mayfield will continue to stay away from the team as the two sides remain in favor of trading the 2018 first-round pick after the Browns acquired Deshaun Watson this offseason. Mayfield also continues to rehab from surgery on the labrum in his left shoulder that he underwent in January, so even if the two sides were on good terms, he likely wouldn't be participating anyways. The Panthers have emerged as the favorite to land Mayfield this offseason, but the deal appears to be hindered by the quarterback's $18.86 million option for the 2022 campaign.

The Cardinals won't begin mandatory minicamp until mid-June, and it looks as though Murray may remain away from the team until then as he continues to angle for a contract extension. Murray, who had his fifth-year option picked up by Arizona in April, has made it clear that he's dissatisfied with his current contract situation, with Jeremy Fowler of ESPN even reporting that the quarterback could be unwilling to suit up Week 1 without a new deal. While no agreement on an extension has been reached, the Cardinals did extend an olive branch to Murray by trading for former Oklahoma teammate Marquise Brown from Baltimore, a move which helps to make up for the fact that DeAndre Hopkins (suspension) will miss the first six games of the season.

Given his experience and familiarity with the Seahawks offense, Smith has an early edge on Drew Lock in the team's ongoing quarterback competition, Gregg Bell of the Seattle News Tribune reports.

Offensive coordinator Shane Waldron acknowledged that there's "a long time to go" before a final call is made on the team's Week 1 starting QB, but unless the team makes a move for another signal caller, Russell Wilson's replacement will be either Smith or Lock. Per Waldron, "right now, Geno has done such a good job of carrying over (the offensive principles from 2021). He already had a head start over Drew right there." That said, Waldron noted that he likes Lock's "ability to make every throw on the field." Either way, this is a job battle that's way too early to call, and it seems likely that as long as they both remain healthy the duo will share first-team reps in practice this summer.

King was waived by the Patriots on Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

King signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent on May 1. The Miami product now will work to get a chance elsewhere this offseason.

Garbers has signed a contract with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent, Rachel Gossen of the teams' official site reports.

Garbers recorded 6,580 passing yards on 62 percent completion percentage over his four-year career with California, with an average of 230.1 passing yards per game in his senior season. The signal-caller also tallied 1,174 total rushing yards over 34 starts in college. Garbers is the only rookie quarterback to join the Las Vegas roster this offseason and likely will compete with veterans Nick Mullens and Jarrett Stidham for the team's third-string spot.

The Patriots are trading Stidham and a 2023 seventh-round pick to the Raiders in exchange for a 2023 sixth-round pick, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Stidham, a 2019 fourth-round pick, found himself the odd man out of New England's quarterback room, which includes rookie fourth-rounder Bailey Zappe and veteran Brian Hoyer as options behind Mac Jones. The move reunites Stidham with coach Josh McDaniels and sets him up to compete with Nick Mullens and Garrett Gilbert for the top backup spot behind Derek Carr.
