  • Bears' Justin Fields: Remains limited Thursday

Fields (ribs) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday.

Fields maintained his activity level for a second straight session after getting back on the field Wednesday. Currently tending to small rib fractures that kept him sidelined in the Bears' Thanksgiving Day win at Detroit, he's attempting to put himself in a position to return to action Sunday against the Cardinals. Friday's injury report could be telling for Fields' potential to play Week 13, but if he doesn't do enough to gain clearance Chicago will turn to Andy Dalton again for a spot start.

  • Jalen Hurts QB | PHI

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Maintains limited practice activity

Hurts (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

After he was estimated as a limited participant for Wednesday's walk-through session, Hurts maintained the same level of activity while the Eagles held a more traditional practice session Thursday. While both Hurts himself as well as head coach Nick Sirianni have expressed varying degrees of optimism that the quarterback will be ready to go for Sunday's game against the Jets, what Hurts is able to do at Friday's practice will likely be the deciding factor in whether he carries an injury designation into the contest. Even if Hurts ultimately gets the green light to suit up and start, fantasy managers may not have a clear idea to what extent his sprained left ankle affects him from a rushing/mobility standpoint. Given that much of Hurts' fantasy value is reliant on his production on the ground -- he's averaging 57.9 rushing yards and 0.66 rushing touchdowns per game -- he may not be as dependable of a lineup option as he typically is, even in a favorable matchup with a porous Jets run defense.

  • Daniel Jones QB | IND

Giants' Daniel Jones: Another limited practice

Jones (neck) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Since emerging from Week 12 action with a strained neck, Jones has gone from a week-to-week proposition to something closer to day-to-day after being able to get on the practice field Wednesday and remain there in the second session of the week. Coach Joe Judge told Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com on Thursday that a decision on Jones is on the team's medical staff, but he's willing to take it down to the wire to see if the quarterback can play Week 13. With the Giants kicking off Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET, Jones' status will be known about 90 minutes prior, but if he's unable to go the team will hand over the offense to veteran Mike Glennon.

  • Trevor Siemian QB | ATL

Saints' Trevor Siemian: Headed for backup role

Siemian will serve as the Saints' backup quarterback Thursday against the Cowboys with New Orleans set to give Taysom Hill his first start of the season, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports.

Head coach Sean Payton stopped short of saying the Saints would be making a change at quarterback Week 13, acknowledging that he wanted to see how Hill -- who is nursing a foot injury -- fared at Wednesday's practice before naming a starter. The fact that Hill doesn't carry a designation into Thursday's contest confirms that he'll be ready to make his first start of the season, ending Siemian's four-game tenure atop the depth chart. After coming on in relief of Jameis Winston (knee) in Week 8 and helping lead New Orleans to an upset win over Tampa Bay, Siemian submitted an 0-4 record as a starter while completing 57.6 percent of his attempts for 6.4 yards per attempt and an 8:3 TD:INT. Hill likely won't offer much of an improvement, if any, over Siemian when it comes to downfield throwing, but he's proven to be a more accurate passer during his career and is a significantly bigger threat as a runner.

  • Bears' Justin Fields: Limited in return to practice

Fields (ribs) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.

Fields followed up head coach Matt Nagy's assertion to Adam Jahns of The Athletic from earlier Wednesday that the quarterback would return to practice. During the media-access portion of the session, Fields seemed to be moving well and was throwing as he would when healthy, according to Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune. In the end, Wednesday's development was a step in the right direction as Fields recovers from a number of small rib fractures that forced him to sit out last Thursday's win at Detroit.

  • Zach Wilson QB | NO

Jets' Zach Wilson: Turns in full practice

Wilson (knee) practiced fully Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

In the wake of his return to the lineup in this past Sunday's 21-14 win over the Texans following a four-game absence, Wilson acknowledged that his right knee still isn't 100 percent, but he said he feels good enough to play, according to Cimini. With a full practice under his belt to begin Week 13 prep, the rookie quarterback this Sunday against the 5-7 Eagles, who have allowed an average of 228.4 passing yards per game to date.

  • Jalen Hurts QB | PHI

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Listed as limited Wednesday

Hurts (ankle) was listed as a limited participant at Wednesday's walk-through practice.

Head coach Nick Sirianni noted Monday that Hurts is dealing with a left ankle sprain, but the injury didn't stop the quarterback from from taking part in practice Wednesday. Both Siranni (via Tim McManus of ESPN.com) and Hurts (via Zach Berman of The Athletic) said that the second-year signal-caller expects to play Sunday versus the Jets, and prior to Wednesday's session, Hurts didn't exhibit a limp, according to Josh Tolentino of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Despite the optimism and how healthy Hurts appears to be, his status should continue to be monitored to ensure he indeed is available this weekend.

  • Jalen Hurts QB | PHI

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Says he'll play

Hurts (ankle) said Wednesday that he'll be ready to play in Sunday's game against the Jets, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.

He appears to be more confident about his status than does head coach Nick Sirianni, who stopped short of promising Hurts would be available while admitting that he expected his starting quarterback to play. Of course, players often are too optimistic when it comes to injuries, but in this case, Hurts seems ready to back it up on the practice field, starting with his participation in Wednesday's walk-through session. Josh Tolentino of The Philadelphia Inquirer notes that Hurts didn't appear to have a limp while walking to practice, while the quarterback said he's already played through multiple injuries this year and isn't worried about his left ankle presenting any issues.

  • Broncos' Teddy Bridgewater: Avoids injury report

Head coach Vic Fangio said Bridgewater (shin) won't be listed on Denver's injury report Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Bridgewater made a brief exit during Denver's Week 12 win against the Chargers due to a shin injury. He clarified what happened Wednesday, telling Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com that he landed on the back of offensive tackle Cameron Fleming's cleat. Overall, Bridgwater fared modestly, per usual, completing 11 of 18 passes for 129 yards and one touchdown while scoring his second rushing score of the campaign. Considering he'll avoid an injury designation entirely this week, he's good to go for Sunday's visit to Kansas City.

  • Bears' Justin Fields: Will practice Wednesday

Bears head coach Matt Nagy said Fields (ribs) is slated to practice Wednesday, Adam Jahns of The Athletic reports.

Even so, Fields likely will have a cap on his reps, per Jahns. In the wake of getting knocked out of a Week 11 loss to the Ravens, Fields was believed to be dealing with bruised ribs, but an MRI later discovered several small fractures. It's thus no surprise he'll go down as a limited participant Wednesday, assuming Fields does get back on the field. His status for Sunday's game against the Cardinals will likely be determined based on how he responds to practice activity over the next three days.
