Patrick Mahomes QB | KC
Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Ready for divisional round
Mahomes wasn't listed on the official injury report the Chiefs released Wednesday, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
Mahomes rested during Kansas City's regular-season finale against the Chargers, then received the benefit of a first-round playoff. As a result, he should be fresh for Sunday's home matchup against the Browns in the divisional round. Opposing cornerbacks Denzel Ward (illness) and Kevin Johnson (illness) both came of the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, so Mahomes will face the challenge of taking on a fully healthy secondary while also avoiding a pass rush led by Myles Garrett (shoulder).

Drew Lock QB | SEA
Broncos' Drew Lock: Completes sophomore slump
Lock finished the 2020 season having completed 57.3 percent of his 443 attempts for 2,933 yards, 16 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He added 160 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 44 carries.
Lock showed promise during his five-game audition in 2019, only to finish 2020 having provided little additional clarity as to whether he can be Denver's quarterback of the future. Potential explanations abound: a truncated offseason, a new scheme, a lost star receiver in Courtland Sutton and a very young supporting cast. Still, Lock's tendency to put the ball up for grabs deep down the field rather than take the underneath throw often made those excuses moot. There is some reason for optimism, including the fact that his two best statistical performances came during his final four games of the year, but it'd be a shock if Denver doesn't at least try to hedge its bet at QB this offseason. That decision will likely come from the yet-to-be-named new general manager, who won't have the investment in Lock that John Elway did after using a second-round pick on the Missouri product in 2019.

John Wolford QB | MIN
Rams' John Wolford: Not practicing Tuesday
Wolford (neck) was a non-participant on Tuesday's practice estimate, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Wolford got the nod at quarterback this past Saturday at Seattle with Jared Goff just 12 days removed from surgery on a dislocated right thumb. However, Wolford didn't last long, taking a hit on the helmet from Jamal Adams that eventually led to a visit to the hospital as a precaution. On Sunday, Wolford was diagnosed with a stinger and called day-to-day by McVay, according to Stu Jackson of the Ram's official site. While Wolford was held out of Tuesday's walk-through, Goff was a full participant following his 155-yard, one touchdown performance against the Seahawks. Still, McVay has yet to make a call on L.A.'s starting QB for Saturday's divisional-round game in Green Bay.

Jared Goff QB | DET
Rams' Jared Goff: Full participation Tuesday
Goff (right thumb) was a full participant at Tuesday's walk-through.
Following surgery on his dislocated right thumb Dec. 28, Goff missed the season finale, and his status remained in question for the wild-card round. Coach Sean McVay ended up making an active Goff the backup this past Saturday in Seattle, but he quickly made an appearance when starter John Wolford (neck) was knocked from the game on a Jamal Adams hit. Goff's final stat line -- 9-for-19 for 155 yards and one touchdown -- was modest on its face, but he ended up leading the Rams to a 30-20 victory. He kicked off this week as uncapped on Tuesday's practice estimate, while Wolford was held out entirely, seemingly putting Goff in the driver's seat to start Saturday at Green Bay. Still, McVay has yet to make a call on L.A.'s starting QB for the divisional round.

Tommy Stevens TE | NYG
Panthers' Tommy Stevens: Ends rookie season
Stevens played one game as a rookie, rushing four times for 24 yards in Week 17's loss to the Saints.
Stevens was actually drafted by New Orleans in the seventh round last year, but he landed on Carolina's practice squad in mid-November. The 6-foot-5, 235-pounder played quarterback in college but has been groomed for a utility role in the NFL, hence his backfield cameo (four carries, 24 yards) in the Panthers' season finale. Given his unique skill set, it'll be intriguing to see whether the team opts to bring Stevens back for the 2021 campaign.

Will Grier QB | CAR
Panthers' Will Grier: No game time in second season
Grier did not play a snap during the 2020 season, as P.J. Walker was preferred to him when the Panthers were without starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.
Grier, a third-round pick in 2019, made two appearances as a rookie, and even though he and Walker alternated being active over the course of this season, Walker ultimately got the call to play when Bridgewater was out. Looking ahead to the 2021 campaign, despite Grier remaining under contract, it appears unlikely his situation will improve as long as he remains in Carolina, as both Bridgewater and Walker also are due to return, and the team could always sign or draft another signal-caller during the offseason.

Alex McGough QB | GB
Seahawks' Alex McGough: Inks future deal
The Seahawks signed McGough to a future contract on Monday, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
After spending some time on the Seahawks' practice squad this past season, McGough will now likely compete with Danny Etling to serve as organizational depth at quarterback for Seattle in 2021.

Tyler Huntley QB | BAL
Tyler Huntley: Back to practice squad
Huntley reverted to the Ravens' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
If Robert Griffin (thigh) and Trace McSorley aren't ready for the AFC divisional round, Huntley likely will be elevated from the practice squad again for a matchup against the Bills.

Joe Burrow QB | CIN
Bengals' Joe Burrow: Returns to Cincinnati
Burrow (knee) is back in Cincinnati after spending the first phase of his rehab process in Los Angeles, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Dr. Neal ElAttrache performed surgery Dec. 2 in the L.A. area, 10 days after Burrow suffered ACL and MCL tears in his left knee. No setbacks have been reported so far, but the young QB still has a long process ahead, hoping to make it back for the start of the 2021 season. Burrow recently told Colin Cowherd that he's excited to continue working with Bengals head coach Zac Taylor, who was rumored to be on the hot seat but ultimately kept his job. Cincinnati has every opportunity to improve this offseason, holding the fifth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and ranking sixth in the league in projected cap space ($42.1 million, per overthecap.com). Burrow said he thinks he'll be ready for Week 1.

Baker Mayfield QB | TB
Browns' Baker Mayfield: Throws three TDs in wild-card win
Mayfield completed 21 of 34 pass attempts for 263 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions during Sunday's 48-37 wild-card win against the Steelers.
Cleveland entered Sunday night without a playoff win since Jan. 1, 1995 -- three and a half months before Mayfield was born. Having led the Browns to their best win total since that same 1994-1995 campaign, Mayfield entered the postseason with just one interception committed over his past nine starts. Boosted by a pair of takeaways and a TD from his defense within the first five minutes of regulation, Mayfield found Jarvis Landry for a 40-yard third-down score on the Browns' opening offensive drive. The explosive start continued from there, as Cleveland set an NFL playoff record for the most first-half points by a road team with 35. Pittsburgh fought its way back into the game with a 13-0 third-quarter run, but Mayfield led the Browns on a trio of scoring drives in the fourth quarter to secure his first career playoff victory. Next is a road trip to take on the reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs and a Kansas City defense that contained opponents to 224.2 passing yards per game over its final five outings of the regular season.
