Deshaun Watson QB | CLE
Texans' Deshaun Watson: Banged up in loss
Watson completed 24 of 33 passes for 324 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Texans' 37-31 loss to the Bengals on Sunday. He also rushed five times for 38 yards and committed two fumbles, losing one on a play on which he appeared to suffer an arm injury that he'll have further evaluated, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Dropping back on a play that started at his own 40-yard line with 1:35 remaining and the Texans down by three, Watson was hit by Sam Hubbard while his arm was still cocked back to throw, leading to a fumble and what appeared to be a potentially serious injury for the Pro Bowl quarterback. However, after the Bengals tacked on a field goal, Watson was able to come back into the contest for Houston's final series, completing passes to Brandin Cooks and Chad Hansen on the final two plays from scrimmage. Therefore, Wilson separately reports coach Romeo Crennel relayed doctors don't think Watson has any "major issue," but the team will naturally perform its due diligence on its most important player. Assuming all checks out well, Watson is likely to be back under center for the Texans' regular-season finale against the Titans in Week 17.

Lamar Jackson QB | BAL
Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Pair of TDs in big win
Jackson completed 17 of 26 passes for 183 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Ravens' 27-13 win over the Giants on Sunday. He also rushed 13 times for 80 yards and lost a fumble.
Despite his lost fumble, Jackson played an integral role in the two-score victory, connecting with Marquise Brown and Dez Bryant for his scoring tosses and checking in with the second-most rushing yards on the afternoon for the Ravens. Jackson has now thrown multiple touchdowns in three of the past four games, and he's gained at least 80 yards on the ground on three occasions during that stretch as well. Jackson will look to put together a strong finish to his season and secure a playoff berth for Baltimore in a Week 17 road battle against the Bengals.

Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN
Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Accounts for three scores
Trubisky completed 24 of 35 passes for 265 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while adding 10 yards and a touchdown on the ground in Chicago's 41-17 victory over the Jaguars on Sunday.
Trubisky was surprisingly called upon to throw 36 passes in a game the Bears won by 24 points, but between locking in on Jimmy Graham for a pair of touchdown passes while calling his own number at the goal line for a rushing score, the quarterback ended up with a strong fantasy performance. He's accounted for exactly three touchdowns in three of Chicago's last five games, but he'll have a difficult home matchup in Week 17 against the Packers.

Patrick Mahomes QB | KC
Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Clinches No. 1 seed with two-TD day
Mahomes completed 24 of 44 pass attempts for 278 yards, throwing two touchdowns and one interception while gaining 21 rushing yards on three carries during Sunday's 17-14 win against the Falcons.
Despite a loss, Atlanta's defense should give itself a pat on the back for a marvelous job in containing the explosive Mahomes. The reigning Super Bowl MVP was held to a season-low 79.6 passer rating by the Falcons, while Kansas City's 17 points fell well below the team's previous 2020 single-game worst of 22. Though it was a relatively quiet fantasy week by Mahomes' standards, the 25-year-old was still capable of delivering Andy Reid his first 14-win regular season over 22 years as an NFL head coach. The Chiefs now roll into a Week 17 matchup against the Chargers having clinched the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. Mahomes may therefore be sidelined as Kansas City aims to keep the star quarterback healthy for another run at the Lombardi Trophy.

Brandon Allen QB | NYG
Bengals' Brandon Allen: Listed as active Sunday
Allen (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Texans, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
Though coach Zac Taylor hasn't named a starting QB for the contest, Hobson indicates that "indications throughout the week have been that Allen" will get the nod after missing the team's Week 15 win over the Steelers. Also, as Hobson points out, Allen "didn't appear on Friday's game status report and remained listed as the No. 1 quarterback in front of Ryan Finley." Either way, Allen's not a high-percentage lineup option for those in the fantasy playoffs, and it doesn't help that the Bengals will be without top pass catcher Tyler Boyd (concussion) in Week 16.
-
Daniel Jones QB | IND
Giants' Daniel Jones: Returning Sunday
Jones (ankle/hamstring) is listed as active Sunday in Baltimore, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
After sitting out Weeks 13 and 15, Jones will play through a right hamstring injury and a sprained left ankle, as expected. He'll have a tall task on his hands against the Ravens' fourth-ranked scoring defense (20.5 points per game).

Marcus Mariota QB | WAS
Raiders' Marcus Mariota: No role in Week 16 loss
Mariota didn't play any snaps Saturday in the Raiders' 26-25 loss to the Dolphins.
Mariota initially seemed poised to make his first start with the Raiders when No. 1 quarterback Derek Carr suffered what was believed to be a significant groin injury in the Week 15 loss to the Chargers, but the latter ended up approaching Saturday's contest minus a designation after he surprisingly practiced in full capacity all week. Carr didn't suffer any in-game setbacks with the injury and threw for 336 yards in the narrow loss, leaving no opportunity for Mariota to get on the field on the heels of his excellent showing in relief of Carr against the Chargers. The Raiders have now been eliminated from playoff contention after suffering their fifth loss in six games, but Carr is still expected to start in the season finale Jan. 3 at Denver even though he may be at less-than-optimal health.

Colt McCoy QB | ARI
Giants' Colt McCoy: Bound for backup role
McCoy is expected to return to a backup role Sunday against the Ravens with Daniel Jones (ankle/hamstring) on track to start under center, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The Giants list Jones as questionable ahead of the Week 16 contest, but the second-year signal-caller looks poised to return from a one-game absence after he was able to practice in a limited fashion Wednesday through Friday. While Jones was sidelined in the Giants' Week 15 loss to the Browns, McCoy presided over an underwhelming offense, completing 19 of 31 attempts for 221 yards and no turnovers while leading New York to only six points on the night.

Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Lions' Matthew Stafford: Ankle sprain not serious
The sprained ankle Stafford suffered early in Saturday's 47-7 loss to the Buccaneers, "doesn't appear too serious," Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
That said, with the Lions heading into Week 17 with a 5-10 record and eliminated from playoff contention, Rapoport suggests that sitting the veteran quarterback -- who has been playing through rib and thumb issues -- in the season finale versus the Vikings could make sense. Chase Daniel and David Blough both saw action in relief of Stafford in Saturday's loss.
-
Derek Carr QB | NO
Raiders' Derek Carr: Late-game heroics fall short
Carr completed 21 of 34 pass attempts for 336 yards, throwing one touchdown and no interceptions while adding a rushing score and minus-two yards on a pair of carries during Saturday's 26-25 loss to Miami.
The three-time Pro Bowler fought through a groin injury sustained during last Thursday's overtime loss to the Chargers to remain without a missed start on the season. Carr helped lead the Raiders to a would-be game-winning field goal in the final 20 seconds of regulation Saturday by way of a seven-play, 71-yard drive. However, Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Dolphins were able to respond with a field goal-yielding possession of their own to secure the Week 16 win. Carr carries a 25:7 TD:INT into the Raiders' regular-season finale, with playoff ramifications excluded from a matchup against the Broncos given Las Vegas' latest loss.
