  • Tyler Huntley QB | BAL

Tyler Huntley: Reverts to practice squad

Huntley reverted to the Ravens' practice squad Thursday, according to the league's official transactions report.

Huntley served as Baltimore's third quarterback for Wednesday's loss to the Steelers, with Lamar Jackson on the COVID-19 list. He came dangerously close to seeing action after Robert Griffin (thigh) was forced out of the contest, but Trace McSorley ultimately finished the divisional game.

  • Kyler Murray QB | MIN

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Logs full practice

Murray (right shoulder) practiced fully Thursday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Murray is tending to an injury to his right throwing shoulder, which capped his practice reps Wednesday. That said, he handled all of them one day later, allowing him to gear up for Sunday's matchup against a Rams pass defense that has mostly contained opposing quarterbacks this season (203.5 yards given up per game, third in the NFL).

  • Lions' Matthew Stafford: Limited again by thumb

Stafford (right thumb) was limited at Thursday's practice, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.

The Lions continue to manage the practice reps of Stafford, who picked up a partial ligament tear in his right thumb during a Week 11 loss at Carolina. He proceeded to complete 28 of 42 passes for 295 yards, one touchdown and one interception during a loss on Thanksgiving to the Texans. While Detroit's skill positions may again be depleted Sunday in Chicago -- both Kenny Golladay (hip) and D'Andre Swift (illness) didn't practice Thursday -- Stafford put up 297 yards and one TD against the Bears back in Week 1.

  • Daniel Jones QB | IND

Giants' Daniel Jones: Another missed practice

Jones (hamstring) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

According to Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York, Jones was seen working on the side with the team's training staff, but the activity wasn't enough to result in drills in practice. The Giants have yet to make a definitive ruling on Jones' status for Sunday's game at Seattle, but with no activity so far this week, he's trending in the wrong direction. If Jones sits out Week 13, the Giants will go with Colt McCoy under center.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Week 13 status up in air

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh admitted that he was unsure if Jackson (illness) would be cleared to return from the reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of the team's next game Tuesday against the Cowboys, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Jackson is believed to be recovering well since he was revealed to have tested positive for the coronavirus Nov. 26, but Harbaugh reiterated that a timeline for the quarterback's return to the roster will be a medical decision and not a coaching one. Assuming Jackson began quarantining immediately after his positive test, he would be eligible to return to the team in 10 days if his subsequent tests return negative. In that case, Jackson could rejoin the active roster as early as Sunday, two days before the Ravens' matchup with Dallas. Should Jackson be forced to miss a second straight game, the Ravens would have to decide on a starting quarterback between Robert Griffin (thigh) and Trace McSorley, both of whom saw action in Wednesday's 19-14 loss to the Steelers.

  • Joe Burrow QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Undergoes successful surgery

    Burrow underwent knee surgery Wednesday.

The Bengals released a statement Thursday, noting that the rookie franchise QB "underwent successful surgery yesterday. The procedure went as planned and he is expected to make a complete recovery. Joe will begin the recovery process and we look forward to his return." Given the timing of Burrow's surgery, which will repair his damaged left ACL and MCL, it's unclear how close to 100 percent he'll be as the 2021 season approaches. In any case, now that the surgery has been performed, the top overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft can begin to embark on his recovery.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Could be game-time call Week 13

Dolphins head coach Brian Flores hinted Thursday that Tagovailoa's (thumb) status for this weekend's matchup with the Bengals could come down to a game-time decision, Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald reports. "[Tagovailoa] was limited in practice [Wednesday]," Flores said. "We'll take it one day at a time. Both [Tagovailoa and Ryan Fitzpatrick] practiced. We'll see how he progresses throughout the week and make a decision on Sunday."

Flores has maintained that Tagovailoa will remain the Dolphins' top quarterback if healthy, but the rookie is still hasn't completed recovered from the jammed thumb. During his limited workout Wednesday, Tagovailoa was still practicing with protective tape covering his left wrist and thumb, so he may need to prove he can throw accurately and with his usual velocity before the Dolphins clear him for game action. While Tagovailoa was sidelined for last week's win over the Jets, Fitzpatrick ran the offense smoothly, completing 24 of 39 attempts for 257 yards, two touchdowns and no turnovers.

  • Kyler Murray QB | MIN

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Puts in limited practice

Murray (shoulder) was limited at Wednesday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Murray continues to get weekly maintenance of his right shoulder after injuring it in a Nov. 19 loss at Seattle. Ahead of last week's loss to New England, he logged limited showings on the first two injury reports before practicing in full Friday. Murray continued his streak of playing every offensive snap in the contest, but he also fell shy of 200 yards passing for the third time this season and failed to throw or run for a touchdown. Assuming he follows a similar practice regimen this week, he'll be ready to go for Sunday's game against the Rams.

  • Trace McSorley QB | WAS

Ravens' Trace McSorley: First career TD in loss

McSorley entered the Ravens' 19-14 loss to the Steelers on Wednesday in the fourth quarter and completed two of six passes for 77 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions. He also rushed three times for 16 yards.

The second-year signal-caller had just been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, and he was pressed into action with Robert Griffin suffering from both ineffectiveness and a hamstring strain. McSorley orchestrated the most explosive offensive play of the afternoon for the Ravens, connecting with Marquise Brown for a 70-yard catch-and-run for a touchdown. The appearance was only the second of McSorley's career, and with Griffin now hurting, the Penn State product could be in line to serve as the primary backup to Lamar Jackson (illness) in Tuesday's Week 13 battle against the Cowboys, assuming Jackson is cleared to return for that game.

  • Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN

Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Starting again Week 13

Bears head coach Matt Nagy said Trubisky will start Sunday's game versus the Lions, Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Nagy didn't make a decision on the Bears' starting quarterback for Week 12 until last Friday, but he got out ahead of it this week and made the call to go with Trubisky over Nick Foles (hip). Foles returned to practice in a limited capacity Wednesday, but perhaps he was testing the waters to see how his hip would hold up. In any case, Trubisky will get another turn to direct the offense after completing just 26 of 46 passes for 242 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in last Sunday's loss to Green Bay.
