  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Helps lead comeback win in SB LIV

Mahomes completed 26 of 42 passes for 286 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions during the Chiefs' 31-20 win over the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV on Sunday. He also rushed nine times for 29 yards and another score and fumbled twice, but neither was lost.

It was far from easy, but Mahomes managed to overcome yet more postseason struggles to help the Chiefs notch their third consecutive comeback win. His performance, while at times rocky, was enough to make him the youngest quarterback to secure Super Bowl MVP honors, and Kansas City also became the first team in NFL history to manage three consecutive comeback victories in the postseason. Mahomes made poor throws on both of his interceptions, each coming on a pass attempt to Tyreek Hill. The 24-year-old ultimately made up for his mistakes when it mattered most, however, leading a pair of fourth-quarter scoring drives that culminated in one- and five-yard touchdown passes to Travis Kelce and Damien Williams, respectively, allowing the Chiefs to overcome a 10-point deficit in the process. The fantastic finish was a fitting cap on another spectacular campaign for the 2018 NFL MVP, one during which he threw for 4,031 yards and 26 touchdowns across 14 games. A record-breaking extension is naturally on the horizon for Mahomes, who's slated to enter the final year of his rookie contract in 2020.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Named 2019 MVP

Jackson was named the 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player on Saturday.

Jackson was the runaway choice for league MVP, as he put together a fabulous sophomore season to lead the Ravens to a league-best 14-2 record. While things didn't go his way in the postseason, the electrifying athlete proved to be elite as both a passer and a runner, posting a 36:6 TD:INT through the air while setting a new record for rushing yards by a quarterback with 1,206 and adding seven touchdowns on the ground.

  • Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN

Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Wins Comeback Player of the Year

Tannehill won the Comeback Player of the Year award Saturday.

Tannehill earned the honors by leading the Titans to a 7-3 record after taking over as the starting quarterback and adding wins over the Patriots and Ravens in the playoffs before finally falling to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. That's quite the comeback story for a guy who was so bad in 2018 that even the Dolphins wanted to get rid of him, ultimately agreeing to an offseason trade with Tennessee rather than cutting Tannehill outright. Tannehill will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but the Titans will likely do everything in their power to keep him around.

  • Kyler Murray QB | MIN

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Wins Offensive Rookie honors

Murray was voted AP Offensive Rookie of the Year on Saturday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Murray lived up to his billing as the first overall pick in the 2019 draft and has a bright future ahead of him after taking home this award. He's a premier asset in dynasty formats and will be on the radar in redraft leagues as well as he continues to mature as the Cardinals' starting quarterback.

  • Easton Stick QB | ATL

Chargers' Easton Stick: Ready to compete in 2020?

Stick and Tyrod Taylor are the only quarterbacks under contract with the Chargers for 2020, Alex Barth of 98.5 The Sports Hub reports.

With Philip Rivers rumored to be headed for a new team, it isn't out of the question for Stick to be part of a position battle during training camp. Of course, the 24-year-old likely would be the underdog in a 1v1 competition with Taylor, and there's also a pretty good chance the Chargers use significant cap space or an early draft pick on a quarterback. The 2019 fifth-round pick was a healthy scratch throughout his rookie season, serving as the No. 3 QB behind Rivers and Taylor.

  • Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN

Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Recovering from shoulder surgery

Trubisky recently underwent surgery to address the partially torn labrum in his left shoulder, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com reports.

Trubisky suffered the injury to his non-throwing shoulder Week 4 of the regular season, but he missed only one game before returning to start the Bears' final 11 contests. The Bears haven't revealed a precise timeline for Trubisky's recovery, though the procedure isn't expected to impact his availability for training camp. The 25-year-old signal-caller is set to enter the final year of his rookie contract with the Bears when the 2020 season kicks off, though the team has until May 3 to make a decision regarding his fifth-year option for 2021.

  • Joshua Dobbs QB | NE

Jaguars' Joshua Dobbs: Limited to reserve duty

Dobbs didn't see the field with the Jaguars in 2019.

Dobbs was acquired by the Jaguars from the Steelers after Nick Foles broke his collarbone in the season opener, but rookie Gardner Minshew played extremely well in Foles' absence and eventually took full control of the starting job. All three quarterbacks remain under contract for 2020, potentially leaving Dobbs as the odd man out.

  • Marcus Mariota QB | WAS

Titans' Marcus Mariota: Searching for fresh start

Mariota passed for 1,203 yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions across six games as the Titans' starter in 2019.

Mariota was benched after leading the team to a 2-4 record to begin the season. Though he avoided turnovers, he struggled to get the ball out in rhythm, taking 25 sacks in his short stint under center. Mariota is likely to hit the open market this offseason as his rookie contract has expired, and the team appears poised to commit to Ryan Tannehill as its starter in 2020. Though Mariota has disappointed relative to his status as the number two overall pick in the 2015 draft, he has shown flashes of promise and is still just 26 years old. He could sign with a quarterback needy team and immediately compete for a starting job.

  • Tyrod Taylor QB | GB

Chargers' Tyrod Taylor: Quiet as backup in 2019

Taylor appeared in eight games during the 2019 season, completing four of six passes for 33 yards and one touchdown while adding 10 rushes for seven yards.

Taylor operated in a backup role for the Chargers this season, playing behind starting quarterback Philip Rivers apart from a few specialty formations. Rivers will become an unrestricted free agent once the 2019 season concludes, leaving Taylor, who has one year left on his contract, as the potential starter if Rivers decides to sign elsewhere. The Chargers could explore options in the draft, but Taylor's past experience as an NFL starter should give him a good chance of being the primary signal-caller for the 2020 season if Rivers explores other options.

  • Brian Hoyer QB | LV

Colts' Brian Hoyer: Starts one game in 2019

Hoyer completed passes in two games during the 2019 season, connecting on 35 of 65 attempts for 372 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions.

Hoyer technically appeared in four games, but in two of those contests he was only asked to take a knee. All of the journeyman's extensive action came in Weeks 9 and 10 when starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett went down with a knee injury. Hoyer is under contract for the 2020 season and should return as the Colts backup signal-caller.
